During the November 25 airing of Fox Newsâ Special Report, French Ambassador to the United States Gerard Araud countered Donald Trumpâs emphasis on the importance of an armed citizenry by claiming that armed citizens succeed in defending themselves âonly in the movies.â
Araud was specifically reacting to a tweet sent after the January 7 Charlie Hebdo attacks in which Trump wrote, âIsnât it interesting that the tragedy in Paris took place in one of the toughest gun control countries in the world?â Talking Points Memo reported that Araud responded to the tweet by calling Trump a âvulture,â then deleted the tweet after attacking Trump.

Mais oui monsieur. We all know that an armed civilian NEVER stopped a criminal act. I mean seriously? Anybody ever hear of something like that happening? Bon soir assclown. If you don't know what you're talking about, shut your pie hole.

" French Ambassador Counters Donald Trump: Armed Citizens Defend Themselves âOnly in the Moviesâ"He's the French ambassador to the Court of King Obama. He can't help himself. He actually thinks that way.

Wow, there’s an army of dead American home invaders, armed robbers, wannabe murderers/rapists who would rise from their graves and disagree if they could.

If France had any brains they would immediately remove this psychopath from office. This is the kind of politician who is going to get more French citizens killed.

Another brilliant, intellectual, superior, Progressive genius has negated all of history, re-written it, come to the conclusion that any benefits of being an armed human are non-existent and that all those who value the 2nd Amendment to the American Constitution are delusional.

Methinks that Monsewer Araud would be well-advised to leave the theater once in awhile, and see how real people, not just film stars, actually live. Then he might want to reconsider his factually-incorrect and foolish statement.

In 1977 I stopped a burglar from entering the home of my friend who lived across the street from me.
He wasn’t home, but his elderly mother was and she was scared.
All I had to do was sneak up on him as he balanced himself on a garbage can while trying to break in through a window, a put the muzzle of my Mossberg 12 Ga. in his back and asked him if he was a peeping tom or a burglar.
My buddy showed up moments later and took him to the local precinct (I think).

I tried to find the reference, but couldn’t. Still, I saw an article that listed the countries with the highest murder rate from gun shots and the first 47 countries all had gun control laws in place.
