Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson backed up Donald Trump's claim that thousands of Muslims in New Jersey partied on September 11, 2001, telling a journalist that he had actually seen video of the incident.
ABC News' Katherine Faulders tweeted out video of the exchange Monday afternoon.

Is it just me, or is Carson just echoing everything Trump says lately, and sometimes very clumsily?
Ping
I saw the video too. They were in Newark.
I remember seeing film of the arabs in the M/E dancing in the streets and giving out candy to the kids. I’m pretty sure I saw a film of a handful in NJ celebrating, NYC was in the background still smoking...
Never saw video of Muslims cheering 9-11 in New Jersey; however, I saw plenty of footage of them cheering and passing out candy in places like the West Bank and Gaza.
Once again, the MSM managed to shoot themselves in the foot in their latest attempt to “get” Trump. The Washington Post printed an article on Muslims celebrating 9-11 in New Jersey and I’m told there were similar accounts in local papers in that state.

But whatever he may have seen or not seen in New Jersey, CNN reported here that Muslims in New York City celebrated 9/11 â in 2009.
The focus of the story is the 96th Street Mosque, identified as âright in the heart of New York.â The report was titled âHomegrown Hate.â Griffin speaks to the Imam, who says Islam is about peace. But right outside the Mosque are Muslims â American Muslims âborn and raisedâ in the United States â preaching hatred of the U.S. Saying that the 9/11 attacks were justified. Griffin captures all of this on camera, with members of the group professing their love for Osama bin Laden.
Dr. Carson has always said what he thinks. That’s’ the appeal that caused donors to drag him into the race. That’s very unfortunate, Carson’s focus is medicine, not economics and not foreign policy. They set him up to fail
If you don't have time to post the article by Jeffrey Lord, let me know and I will post it.
Me too. Made me sick.
It seems so. Echo Trump!
I too saw and read about the cheering. The corrupt media wants to bury just how evil islam is.
Yep, I saw it too, in Newark. And I was thoroughly disgusted by those people who were benefiting from our society but yet cheering on the mass murder of Americans just across the river. They all should have been rounded up and sent back from whatever hell hole they came.
There’s nothing to lose from it. It sure beats stupid attempts to capitalize on liberal outrage by affirming the liberal outrage which is what too many candidates try to do. The key thing is that yes Muslims were celebrating and I have little doubt some in places like Paterson NJ where several of the 9-11 attackers lived also celebrated.
I noticed same. Carson is modeling Trump. I admire him for trying to change things but there is only one Trump. Trump has talent and timing and no other candidate does. Still I bet over time Carson will learn a lot about how to pound the media into the ground.
Agreeing with Trump makes Carson still relevant.
Our media is ‘government owned’ by obuma and Hillary and they want to keep it that way....
Today there are many alternate sources of information, and we are ON to them enough to instantly capture and copy source data such as video.
But in 2001, if, say, NY1 News wanted to disappear video of New Jersey Muslims celebrating 9/11, it disappeared.
I don’t know about NJ, but Reverend Jeremiah Wright celebrated it in his so-called church with the Obamas sitting front and center.
Rush said there was an article in the Washington Post about it. WAPO is still calling Trump a liar today. Was Rush wrong?
