A few weeks ago, the sky seemed the limit for Ben Carson. The retired neurosurgeon was surging in the polls, and had overtaken every single one of his rivals in Iowa. From the looks of it, he was going to be a real player come primary season.
How fast things change. Just one week after the terror attacks in Paris, left-wing website Politico reports that Carson is fading -- fast. His supporters are flocking to Texas Senator Ted Cruz:
[A]fter a week of confused comments from the former neurosurgeon and a dismissive critique by his own advisors, Iowans are now consistently voicing doubt about Carsonâs credentials to be commander-in-chief. Indeed, they said the terrorist attacks have reordered the candidates in their mind, lifting Cruz and Sen. Marco Rubio and, for many, making Carson an afterthought.
Alan Hilgerson, a Des Moines-based physician, says what many Iowa conservatives are thinking:
Heâs a great guy, heâs fun to listen to, but I didnât hear anything substantive. I donât know that Iâd want him as my president. Marilu Erdahl, another conservative Iowan, adds that she was torn between Carson and Cruz, but decided to support the latter because of his knowledge of foreign policy -- and, more precisely, the war on terror:
He has experience, heâs shown what he can do. With the state of affairs weâre in right now, I think it is very important. Itâs vitalâ¦.We need someone who knows the ropes, whoâs not the establishment but who doesnât need on-the-job training.

Again, odd lead given that Trump has REGAINED his top spot in IA in two polls after two polls had him trailing, and that he is at
30 which I think is an all time high for him; and at 32 in NH (ditto).
So I just find it odd that the "news" or the "headline" is about the surge of someone into second who is trailing by NINE when the previous second place guy only trailed by eight.
In other words, no matter how you slice it, TRUMP is gaining. But not to get in the way of a good headline.

2015-11-05 : Free Republic's Patton@Bastogne's Bold Political Predictions
(1) Yeb Bush will make a good political campaign decision "intelligently" REFUSE to exit the 2016 GOP Presidential Race until he is DEFEATED in the 2016 March 15 Florida Primary. Yeb Bush's political "ace in the hole" is the hopelessly corrupt Florida Republican Party ... the ones who redistricted the great Allen West out-of-office.
(2) Meanwhile ... Dr. Ben Carson will be polling "single digits" by Christmas 2015 ... at which point he'll endorse (suprise, surprise) Yeb Bush ...
(3) Marco "Amnesty" Rubio (lavishly funded by Yeb Bush's former donors) ... will place FOURTH in Iowa (abandoned by the Tea Party Evangelical Christians for being a greedy bad-faced liar) and FOURTH in the Florida Primary (in a "blood-sport" death-match with Yeb Bush)
4) Ted Cruz SHOCKS the "Washington Establishment Cartel" with a three-percent Florida victory over Donald Trump ...
===================================
On November 5, 2015 ... it was revealed that Dr. Ben Carson supports Transgendered Bathrooms (political suicide for his Evangelical Christian base) ...
... and Dr. Ben Carson has "lied" about the names of guys he supposedly beat-up in high school
... which, when combined with the "ridiculous" Pyramid Theory statements, is beginning to make Herman Cain (2012) and John Edwards (2008) look like Einstein and Gen. George Patton Jr.
===================================
"Anything" can happen in a "New York Minute" in American politics.
Just ask Machiavelli, Abraham Lincoln, JFK, Bobby Kennedy, Vince Foster, Gary Hart, Buddy Holly, U.S. Senators Hale Boggs, Ted Stevens, and Paul Wellstone, Herman Cain ...
and Napoleon at Waterloo (who was winning the battle, and Wellington admitting DEFEAT, as late as 5:00 PM in the afternoon).
===================================
Ninety-eight (98) GOP Convention delegates are at stake in Florida's "mas mucho rigged" state Presidential Primary (Winner take All).
That makes it more convenient for Yeb's GOPe Chamber of Commerce Political Whores (aka the Florida Republican Party) to hand Yeb 98 convention delegates on a silver platter.
Yeb Bush has absolutely NOTHING to lose by staying in the presidential race (anything can happen).
Is it a longshot ? Absolutely.
Has Karl Rove already planned for this scenario ? Absolutely.
Will Dr. Ben Carson endorse Yeb Bush when the good doctor is "finished" ? Absolutely.
As a romantic interest once told me ... "It's All About the Money" ... perfectly applicable to Yeb Bush, Ben Carson, and Karl Rove.

What do you expect? It’s PJ Media, yet another corrupt “conservative” website that’s outed itself this election cycle.
It’s getting to the point where you really don’t know who to trust or to read anymore.

Well, I like Ted. I'd vote for him, give to him, work for him, but Trump's my #1.
I keep telling the Cruzers here, beware the media. They hate Ted. They are pumping him up any way they can to try and derail Trump. If for a second they thought they had succeeded with Trump, the dumptrucks of dirt on Ted would be backed up in a heartbeat.

Ted Cruz has intellect, time-tested ideas, his experience, and his speaking ability all in his favor. He will continue to move ahead.

Trump leads at 30% in this Iowa poll. He got a huge bump after Paris.
To: LS
Of course they will. None of that means they’ll succeed, though.
To: calisurfer
Two people are benefiting: Cruz and Trump. Carson is imploding. The reason I focus on Cruz is that everybody agrees he has momentum and because Trump has been the frontrunner (alone or together with Carson) for months now.
What’s ‘new’ is Cruz’s rise. Not Trump doing well.

Interesting. Terrorism gets worse, the conservative candidates double down on fighting terrorism, the public loves it.
Meanwhile, back at the plantation, the libs and commies double down on stupid, such as Islam is the religion of peace, the terrorists are not radical islam, or we need more Syrian refugees. And they expect to win??
Why, just why does the DNC go so against the grain of the will of the people in a presidential election? It’s like standing on railroad tracks with a speeding freight train with no brakes comin’ atcha!

We need someone who knows the ropes, who's not the establishment but who doesn't need on-the-job training. Cruz is the only candidate fighting the establishment GOP from the inside. Everyone else is just lip service.
And we all know whose mouth is bigger than everyone else's.

Their “leadership” are Marxist Idealogs, they will always push their agenda over anything. The circumstances we find ourselves in do not matter to them, it’s always ldeology.

It is getting to the point where certain conservative media outlets are fast becoming no different than a leftist news sites in terms of feigning objectivity while obviously slanting stories.
If they want to be open supporters of Cruz, then fine, but they need to state it out front or knock off the leading headlines.

Still posting that lying chart.
LOL!
It’s pathetic that that’s what you are reduced to.
Bwahahahaha!
