Abu Dharr al-Ghifari, a Companion of Prophet Muhammad, is credited by many as a principal antecedent of Islamic socialism.[1][2][3][4][5] He protested against the accumulation of wealth by the ruling class during 'UthmaÂn's caliphate and urged the equitable redistribution of wealth. The first Muslim Caliph Abu Bakr introduced a guaranteed minimum standard of income, granting each man, woman, and child ten dirhams annually; this was later increased to twenty dirhams.[6]
The first experimental Islamic commune was established during the Russian Revolution of 1917 as part of the Waisi movement, an early supporter of the Soviet government. The Muslim Socialist Committee of Kazan was also active at this time.
In the modern era, Islamic socialism can be divided into two, a leftist and a rightist form. The leftist (Siad Barre, Haji Misbach, Ali Shariati, Yasser Arafat and Jalal Al-e Ahmad) advocated secular proletarian internationalism and encouraged Muslims to join or collaborate with international socialist or Marxist movements. Right-wing socialists (Mohammed Iqbal, Agus Salim, Jamal ad-Din al-Afghani, Musa al-Sadr, and Mahmud Shaltut) are ideologically closer to third positionism, supporting not just social justice, egalitarian society and universal equality, but also Islamic revivalism, and implementation of Sharia. They also reject a full adoption of a class struggle and keep a distance from other socialist movements.
Revolutionary activity along the Soviet Union's southern border, Soviet decision makers recognized, would draw the attention of capitalist powers and invite them to intervene. It was this understanding which prompted the Russian representation at the Baku Congress in September 1920 to reject the arguments of the national communists as impractical and counterproductive to the revolution in general, without elaborating their fear that the safety of Russia lay in the balance. And it was this understanding, coupled with the Russian Bolsheviks' displeasure at seeing another revolutionary center proposed in their own domain revolutionary, that galvanized them into action against the national communists.[7]
When Essau demanded that Isaac share the wealth of food, that was Leninism.
When Abel did not share his wealth (and God’s blessing) with Cain, Cain practiced Stalinism.
“I’ve often wondered why a dedicated Marxist like Obama loves Islam so much (other than being raised a Muslim).”
I was thinking as I read your post this must be relative to the association Marxists obviously have with Islam. It’s almost as though they are playing good guy, bad guy.
Exposing them is the best way to win needed support in the game of hearts, and minds. Bombing the shit out of them is the best way to win their war.
Perhaps those pushing one world government have selected Islam as their religion of choice...for the sole reason that it would give the elites more control over populations than any other religion. Of course the ruling elite would never live as devout muslims, just as the saudi princes do not, but would pretend to live thusly.
“Of course the ruling elite would never live as devout muslims, just as the saudi princes do not, but would pretend to live thusly.”
So totally agree with you!
Yet we got an ongoing problem with Islam, which historically & initially was brought to other lands by the nomads of Saudis/Jordan, and further by those in Arabian Peninsula. Shi’ite or Sunni are a farce.
I think the Marxists view the Muslims as useful idiots and sanction and support the Muslims attack on Western Civilization and capitalism. They have the same goals, destroy America, destroy capitalism, free markets and Western culture. I think the Marxists think they can 'ride' the success of the Muslims and then get rid of them in the end when America is destroyed.
They certainly are birds of a feather. Marxism/communism and Islam are both just centralized dictatorships whose goal is total control of the individual. Islam uses religion as a cover.
We have a two front war. . and Obama is the head of the spear.
Actually, No.
If you ever lived through the USSR era in your adulthood, you’d know that the Soviets never allowed Islam as a religion to surface or gain control in the USSR. Islam was the antithesis of what Soviets wanted or believed in.
It’s been mainly after the fall of the USSR that we’ve seen Islam or Islamism gain prominence on the world stage.
Although ‘Islamism’ exists since “âSayyid Qutb and the Origins of Radical Islamismâ in post #12 in this thread. The Soviets did their best to curb Islam and Islamism, even in the M.E.
I think we often confuse Islam or Islamism per Qutb’s stance which was against America and “materialism” - the latter as an ideology. Vast differences between Qutb, and today’s ISIS (Daesh) and mullahs in Iran.
I wonder if the Soviets nationally didn't like Islam and fought to suppress it but the NWO Marxists like Obama see it as a 'help' to worldwide communism.
The 'useful idiot' concept in that radical Jihadis are anti-Western and anti-American and they can do the Marxists dirty work or 'speed up' their goals. Almost an international Cloward-Piven.
The conflict for the Marxists if what if their theory doesn't work and they too are overwhelmed by Islam.
I would say that relatively speaking from a matter of perspective relative to USSR Communists you are correct. However, from an American perspective Islam was an enemy of the USSR for the same reason the Nazi Reich was. Islamoists allied with the fascist Nazis allied with the Japanese; each wanting to dominate and impose their flavor of tyranny. No doubt, if the Axis won they would have fought each other for dominance just as we see in the Sunni Shia Middle East conflicts right now. After World War Two, there was an intentionally imposed deNazification program; however, there was never imposed a deIslamification program and I would suggest the Islamic terrorism we see today is a predictable result of appeasing for political convenience the evil known as Islamic ideology.
From an American perspective, Communism, Socialism, Islamism and Fascism are all tyrannical and totalitarian (Leftist) ideologies.
