Donald Trump on Saturday scolded the media for writing âfalse stuffâ after a report that the Republican presidential front-runner wants a database to keep track of Muslims living in the U.S.
Trump clarified that he only wants a database for Syrian refugees entering the country âif we canât stop them, but weâre going to.â
âIf you donât mind, I want to be â I want to surveil â I want surveillance of these people coming in, the Trojan horse, I want to know who the hell they are,â Trump said at a rally in Birmingham, Ala.
Trump said he was talking about building a border wall when he told an NBC News reporter Friday that he would âcertainly implement that.â The reply was interpreted to be in response to a question about tracking Muslims in the country.
He also said âthere should be a lot of systems beyond databasesâ when the reporter asked him whether he would implement a Muslim identification system.

Hell, even snopes said the media lied.
Trump and Cruz and others have become quite skilled at deflecting bad questions. But you can’t always hit every ball.
I’ve heard Trump and Cruz openly reject questions and state that the premise is wrong and that the reporter should ask better questions. They do that a lot.
So the journalists seem to have switched tactics.
I heard 2 reporters on TV discuss this, and spin the story this way —
FIRST REPORTER: So, if you listen to the full tape, Trump never suggested any sort of database to track Muslims, did he? It was the reporter than brought that up?
SECOND REPORTER: That’s true. But the problem is — Trump didn’t reject the notion of the database. He seemed to consider it a reasonable inquiry, and that really calls into question Trump’s judgment. Do we want someone to be president if they don’t reject this notion out of hand?
Left-wing cable news network CNN has been caught red-handed selectively editing Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trumpââ¬â¢s comments about a “Muslim registry,” and doing so in order to make it sound as though he is agreeing to this registry. He is not.
The edited video is yet another lying log on the left-wing garbage fire that is CNN, and yet in just three weeks, this very same garbage fire is hosting the next Republican presidential debate!
What exactly does CNN have to do in order to lose its right to depose these candidates for two hours in front of the whole world? If CNN is already maliciously editing video to “take out” out the frontrunner, I don’t even want to speculate.
I am not a big Trump fan, but after looking at the exchange between Trump and the “reporter”, there is no doubt in my mind what Trump meant. He was talking about the wall and kept answering the questions about the wall - but the reporter kept asking about a database for all Muslims. So the reporter got the answers he wanted - they just weren’t to the questions he was asking.
The media’s ‘position’-
Trump says NO. Means he doesn’t want to protect us.
Trump says YES. Means he wants to spy on everyone.
Trump doesn’t say YES or NO. Means he’s avoiding the question.
It must suck for them and Trump haters when the liberals at Snopes can't cover up for other libs.
Kimberly blasted Obama lover Juanita Williams.
Even if Trump was talking about “registering” new Muslim immigrants (if it isn’t already done ??) that is not going to stop anyone coming in illegally.
Every time the media lies about him Trump’s numbers go up, and the media can’t figure out why.
Trump’s supporters already know that the MSM is a bunch of liberal scumbags so, when their guy is dishonestly attacked, they double down on their support. Others, seeing the media misreporting the truth, are attracted to Trump out of a sense of fair play.
The media has never seen anything like this.
The only person who can take-out Trump at this stage of the game is Trump himself.
Well, here is another possibility. It may be the case that Trump actually anticipates and looks forward to all this selective editing, misreporting, lies and so forth from the MSN. It just gives him another opportunity to make more headlines, slam the media, prove that they are trying to smear him, it provides a great sound bit and great for another tweet and so on. After all, his tweets are getting more attention than CNN, no? I think that the MSN has seriously underestimate the power of the alternative media in this election. Every time they go after him, he punches back even harder.
Don’t like Trump but the media spin was complete and utter bs.
I think you are right. Trump, in many cases thus far, has been 2-3 moves ahead of the media, his detractors and the other R candidates.
Wait till he says the Dems want a gun registry on American citizens, but they don’t want a registry on refugees that our own security apparatus says can’t be 100% vetted.
His upward climb in the polls won't be as great from this -- everyone expects media to lie.
Trump needs to unwind on all of them about this latest crap.
GO Trump GO!!!
The Little S**** won’t address it
While watching Trump on 20/20 last night, I noticed the pictures of young Trump. He resembled Elvis.
If I were Trump I would force a retraction from CNN and when they refuse I would pull out of that debate.
Trump could run the full un edited exchange on social media and expose the biased editing, and then make sure the RNC cancels the debate altogether.
Fox is still running with it right now. 5 minutes ago they were reporting on Trump’s plan to database Americans and how even “Ted Cruz is against it.” Thanks, Ted. Ted should apologize.
