I recently sent a letter to Dayton Ohio Mayor, Nan Whaley, questioning her openness to accepting "resettlement" of "migrants." My questions to the Mayor went as follows:
October 13, 2015
Dear Mayor Whaley,
I recently discovered that you signed an open letter to President Obama, asking to increase the number of refugees for "resettlement." Have you considered what the effects of this will be on the community?
In your letter, you claim "the U.S. has developed a robust screening and background check." Is ISIS now helping with background checks of people fleeing its territory? Is the U.S. government able to screen individuals fleeing a war zone?
This is not some inconsequential game. Allowing a mass influx of unvetted refugees brings as consequence more issues than national security ...
Americans are suffering widespread unemployment or underemployment - and yet you introduce additional competition for the few jobs created?
What will be the impact on education? Budget cuts and teacher shortages are hurting American schools. Without additional funding, how will these schools be able to accept thousands of additional students? Most of these "refugees" do not speak English; so how will our schools address this problem? Your plan will require massive educational budget increases. The only way to obtain the required funds is to siphon resources from American students - and thus lower the quality of THEIR education.
What of housing for these "refugees"? There is a shortage of affordable housing, and a waiting list for Section 8 housing. Where will these refugees live? Will they be placed ahead of Americans who are now struggling to find affordable housing? Will you evict people in government housing, so to make room for these refugees?
Other infrastructure problems this scheme will bring include: traffic, electrical power, sanitation, crime, and healthcare. Did you give any thought to these issues?
Have you considered the people in your community who are now struggling to find work and affordable housing? Did you consider the homeless? If you have so much extra time and resources, then why are you not helping THOSE individuals - for whom you are already responsible?
Mayor Whaley, you have not well thought through this plan! You were elected to do what is best for the city of Dayton; yet you are willing to sacrifice your community's schools, safety, jobs, and infrastructure for what appears purely political reasons. Please reconsider your support of this disastrous policy.
*** End of Letter***
On November 18, 2015, I received the following response from Mayor Whaley:
Thank you for your e-mail regarding the crisis in Syria.
The tragic events in France are heartbreaking and I stand with those affected by acts of terrorism.
As Mayor, I am foremost committed to the safety of the citizens of Dayton. In light of the Paris attacks, it is imperative that the Department of Homeland Security provide security guarantees to hosting communities, such as Dayton, regarding each individual seeking protection regardless of their home country.
Refugee resettlement is managed through our local resettlement agency, Catholic Social Services, and the City of Dayton has no role in this process. Should the Department of Homeland Security decide to place refugees from any country in the City of Dayton, we will continue to be a leader in the welcoming movement and will champion inclusive communities that enable all residents to thrive.
If you would like additional information regarding the resettlement process for refugees, The Migration Policy Institute, an independent, nonpartisan, nonprofit organization, has additional information.
Sincerely,
Nan
YOU DONT MATTER. that was a political eff you letter.
Happy?
The lunatics must have received a broad outline from the whyte house. The whack job governor in Harrisburg sent this response to the 100+ members of the PA House who wanted him to pull the welcome mat back in when the terrorists arrive.

Good letter. Now what? Do you have, an answer, you would like to hear, or give? Get to it!
Must-Read BUMP
It’s a form letter, probably drafted by the White House in case malcontents like us complain. Notice that she didn’t bother to address your questions. My guess is that neither she nor her staffers bothered to read your letter beyond the first sentence or 2. They just decided you were one of those complainers, so just send the standard BS letter.
How does one hold Catholic Social Services responsible for the effects of the stewardship Dayton has ceded to them?
yeah, well i have to deal with andrew in NY. he LOVES refugees.
if my fiance gets so much as a scratch from on of these “refugees” i’m gonna be one ######ed of Italian and me and Andrew are gonna dance.
I dont want to be here anymore!!!
fiance or conservative state? hmmm
While some of the useful idiots may be afflicted by stupidity, the leaders pushing the refugee settlement are motivated by power only. They assume 75%+ of immigrants/refugees will vote rat. They don’t care about anything else.
Call me cynical, but I don't think that's the endgame.
You don't spend this kind of political capital to give your assumed friends a "choice."
So what do think the endgame is?
I would think that states and cities would have figured this out by now, but evidently not.
Either that, or they know there will enough money during their term of office, even though it will peter out long before the problem gets solved.
Here in California I suppose we can put all the refugees on the Bullet Train to Nowhere and just have them ride back and forth between LA and SF (or more likely Fresno and Bakersfield).
If somewhere along the line they blow it up, well then aw shucks.
Ping for later
How about mid-game? M!@#$
I hate to disappoint, but I really don't know.
I AM convinced of this much: whatever the play, it's got to be in place with THIS president. Unless Trump is a bonafide Manchurian Candidate, he's WAY too close to real power, and way too unpredictable to risk letting him get into office before whatever it is is a fait accompli.
The last time I heard someone say, “What the eff, over,” was about 50 years ago! ROFL
And when those “refugees” begin destroying the “allowing” states and bankruoting they will want to move out and seek shelter in “non-allowing” ststes. Oh hell no. Don’t be running to our state because they set up sharia courts and are starting ot lop off your heads with mush for brains. The only satisfaction we’ll get is when they start offing the very people who invited them here. Maybe we’ll get to see thir heads stacked ip in the streets, it’ll make for great Facebook posts.../s
the complete destruction and takeover of the U.S. with a president and Congressmen who have been paid very well to let it happen but are too stupid to relaize they are first on the hit list to be replaced by Muslim politicians once they get this ball rolling. Next emergence of the AntiChrist or as they refer to him, the 12th Imam or Mahdi
Nothing matters but their agenda... Period.
