Desperate world leaders today lined up to try to woo Russian President Vladimir Putin to back global efforts to defeat ISIS.
For more than a year after relations with Moscow have been in the deep freeze over Russian incursions in Ukraine.
But now Mr Putin is seen as holding the key to resolving the bloody civil war in Syria which has given rise to ISIS fanatics.
It has led to the spectacle of US President Barack Obama, British PM David Cameron and Saudia Arabia's King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud posing for photos with the Russian President.

Up here in Canada, I can remember about this time last month, Baby Doc Trudeau told the adoring Media Party that he was going to tell Putin off to his face. Gee, I wonder if he’s done that already or is instead considering an about face concerning the comments he made last month?

We all understand that Baby Turd and the Media Party got a super majority of the seats in Parliament simply because the sheeple got tired of stability and relative economic prosperity. It was boring and Baby Turd and the Media party talked a good game.
Does he and his parliamentary rubber stamps have a minimum number of months in office if public opinion suddenly turns south?

I would think the first step in a fight would be to identify your enemy.
How is our administration supposed to fight when they are too PC even utter the enemy’s name?
Every recent terror attack has been to result of muslims using political correctness to their full advantage.
The world leaders know they cannot count on the American prez to do more than lead from behind.

But O did imply yesterday that he is about ready to draw a DOUBLE line in the sand. One report is that he is sending more money to the anti-Assad rebels. [Wonder how much of that will end up with ISIL/ISIS factions? Mean ole Pootie Poot blew up many of their vehicles and they had to escape on bicycles and donkeys. They need new vehicles, apparently.]

Truthfully, Russia is bombing Obama’s chosen “good” terrorist rebels near government strongholds more than they are bombing the “bad” ISIS terrorist rebels on the far side of Syria from government-held territory. If we would accept the Russian/Syrian terms, Assad could and would crush his “good” terrorist opposition and then turn his military loose against ISIS.
Under those conditions, Assad, Russia, and the rest of the world could turn their forces loose against the bad terrorists of ISIS, without distractions, and put an end to this problem. ISIS would melt into the background and lose both their base of operations and their image of success, rendering them irrelevant. But first, Obama has to admit that his Syria “strategy” was as shockingly stupid as every other idea he has ever had, and he has to want a positive outcome. I’m not optimistic on either of those working out.
I thought the same thing.
I can see the horse trading now with little to no U.S influence. Europe will give up on Ukraine and Crimea if Putin neutralizes ISIS and stems the flow of immigration.
Who else are they supposed to cosy up with? Our Terrorist in Chief? At least Putin is doing something.
