This “celebration†happened in London, UK this afternoon by Pakistani Muslims.
And the wild thing is, all day I have been listening to talking heads and French mourners tell us that this has “nothing to do with religion.†Apologists for savagery, they explain, “They just want to kill.†Uh yes, but if we deny the motive the West is in for a world of pain. This is just the opening salvo.

I suspect you are offended by the comparison rather than too parochial to appreciate its validity.
That one proselytizes by ministry, while the other proselytizes by intimidation, is immaterial to the fact they are both proselytizing.
I’m equally sorry about jumping to conclusions about the meaning of your post.
It isn’t the same, or comparable on any level. Islam is about submission. You can submit, or you can die. They don’t care what you believe. People who follow Christ spread the gospel, because a tenet of the faith is for everyone to hear the “good news”. People can then make their own choices, once they have heard the news. It is called proselytizing, to talk about your faith to others (presumably in hopes of converting them). Furthermore, islam is not a religion. It has a religious factor, but islam is a political system.
