Leading Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson believes that federal and state official overreacted in the case of Terri Schiavo, a Florida woman who died in 2005 as her husband and family battled over whether to keep her alive despite her vegetative state.
The case roiled the state of Florida and sparked an emotional national debate about the ethics, politics and spiritual significance of her life and death.

After speaking at a Republican Party conference here on Friday, a reporter asked Carson what he thought of the infamous case -- one that Bush speaks about occasionally as he mounts his own presidential campaign.
"We face those kinds of issues all the time and while I don't believe in euthanasia, you have to recognize that people that are in that condition do have a series of medical problems that occur that will take them out," he said. "Your job [as a doctor] is to keep them comfortable throughout that process and not to treat everything that comes up."

This man may have been brilliant once upon a time, but there is definitely something wrong with him now. There is a reason that he retired so young, a reason we do not know about, but I think that reason is manifesting itself. Trump is right to raise concerns, I just wish he would be more diplomatic about it, but then again, that is just the way Trump is.

Terri Shiavo was murdered by court order.
I was reading about that operation that made him famous. It was because he made the final cut of the critical vein before smaller veins were grafted.
The couple was German; after seven months they returned to Germany. The boys were never able to do anything by themselves, too much brain damage.
It put such a strain on the family; the father could hardly stand to look at them; the mother was tormented with guilt that she had borne them but loved them. He drank and went down hill. They divorced, and she was left in poverty.
She remarried and has had one or by now maybe two normal children. One of the separated twins has died and one is alive in an institution. One was named Ben.
It was not Dr. Ben's fault, of course, but all did not end well.

Well, he just slid off my radar screen and went “plop” on the floor.
I suppose that the magnitude of the Terry Schiavo case would depend on who you asked.
The one thing that we won’t know is what Terry wanted. We know what her cheating husband wanted, and got. We know what Terry’s family wanted. But we will never know what Terry wanted.
I can imagine it was a difficult existence for her and her immediate family. But the whole death thing was unnecessary. All the POS husband had to do was divorce Terry, and her parents would have gladly taken her back. But the shame of being a labeled (and rightly so) a scumbag was more than he could bear, so Terry needed to die.
Maybe she should have died to begin with, but that didn’t happen and you have to play the hand you are dealt. She would have died eventually, it was not necessary to give her a push.

The left has been selecting the Republican candidate since Herbert Walker. They have been artificially inflating Carson’s candidacy for their own filthy reasons.

Begins to look like the good doctor may have practiced “brain surgery” on himself.
The family was not split in the decision to save Terri’s life, every single member of her family and her close friends wanted her to live. It was her no-good husband who wanted her to die so he could take the millions of dollars that were was awarded to her in medical malpractice case, for her rehabilitation. Instead of using that money for physical and occupational therapy, and whatever else she might need, he took Terry away from her parents who were caring for her, at their own expense, shut her away in hospice, and began legal proceedings to pull her feeding tube so she could be starved and dehydrated to death. This husband found her presence quite inconvenient and in the way of his new life with his mistress and his two children by her. He was not going to get a divorce and marry this mistress, he was determined Terri should die so he could have her money. This as the most disgraceful thing imaginable. Just look at that picture of Terri and her mother; clearly she is not in a persistent vegetative state!

What, decisions to kill a woman on the grounds that she is in a persistent vegetative state when she is not, not, not in a persistent vegetative state?
I hope such decisions are uncommon.

I try to just state facts as well and the fact is, Ben shouldn't have EVER even contemplated throwing his hat into the ring; he isn't qualified to be president!
