ITHACA, NY -- Hundreds of Ithaca College students and supporters gathered at the center of campus Wednesday to demand the resignation of college president Tom Rochon and an overhaul of the structures at the campus that they said make students of color feel unsafe and excluded.
The protest, which began around 1:30 p.m. and attracted at least 750 people, was in response to what organizers said were a series of incidents that demonstrated cultural insensitivity and exclusion of certain groups.
I was wondering when someone would put out the official "City of Evil" alert. For a while there it was starting to look as if conservative New Yorkers were slacking off, or worse <shudder> being ..... digested. Alive.
Mind you, under My Plan (c), Ithaca will have to be uprooted and relocated to Connecticut, or maybe Long Island, on the other side of the USA/New England border. (Princeton, too. And Stanford, and Georgetown. The service academies and VMI will become our Replacement Ivies.)

I stopped giving money to my alma mater, UCLA, long ago for this reason.
In this case, no sympathy. Ithaca has had far left faculty for a long time. Remember some of their antics when Bush was in office. If the left wants to cannibalize their own, I say we stand back and watch - and cut federal funding.
I agree. Thanks!
If you read the original hyperlink with the news article, scroll down to the comments. There are 2 students in particular, Aiden & Casey Murphy, who stand out for total naivete. Both are wedded to their defenses. They contradict themselves, or make highly emotional and subjective arguments, without realizing it.
Cill mah landload.
Another great Besmenev quote: “You will know communism is here when it puts a boot in your fat bottom.”
Ithaca College red guard students gather to demand president's resignation.
I haven’t kept up with the news lately but I keep hearing about all these riffs at college campuses and black people being upset over stuff, hunger strikes etc
What exactly happened to provoke all this???? I don’t get it.
All this has to be funded by someone - George Soros or is the missing money that Obama has channeled - to fundamentally transform America through various organizations to gom into the Universities and Colleges in America and provoke division and strife. Obama’s America and Obama’s Army attacking the very institution of higher learning and turning the nation’s youth into mindless mush!
My great grandfather was a confederate soldier, I think that should be respected. No, he didn’t own any slaves either, there are not enough white people in this whole country who carry my surname to crew an aircraft carrier and nearly no “African Americans.”
Ironically there used to be a manufacturer of some rather fine firearms in that city.
“Brother Dave” Gardner used to say, “One thing I’ve learned about higher learning and that’s to git high and learn!” He must have been familiar with Ithaca.
It’s not just sixties radicalism, or liberal in general, but the fact that students are so obsessed with finding themselves that they don’t go out into the world for life experience and instead overthink the littlest things and end up spending time getting worked up over nothings. University used to be a place of learning, not a place to find yourself (whatever that means these days) and frankly there’s no good reason that students shouldn’t fill their time on projects related to their major, building their resume with experience.

Quack waddle - I wonder what would Bezmenov call an employee owned collective banking institution that’s managed by Jesuit indoctrinated MBA progressive vanguard elite ducks?
It could easily go up to the Valerie Jarrett level, in my mind.
They prefer to call it “culture” these days.
Oh, easily.
