Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Wednesday likened the European Union's decision to label Jewish goods from Judea, Samaria, eastern Jerusalem and the Golan Heights to the Nazi boycott of Jewish businesses.
Israel in retaliation also called off a number of scheduled EU meetings.
"The labeling of products of the Jewish state by the European Union brings back dark memories, Europe should be ashamed of itself," Netanyahu said as he wrapped up a visit to Washington.
"It took an immoral decision...this will not advance peace, it will certainly not advance truth and justice. It's wrong," he said in an English-language video clip posted on Facebook.
He drew the same comparison in September when he said that Israelis "remember history and we remember what happened when the products of Jews were labelled in Europe."
"Of the hundreds of territorial conflicts around the world it chose to single out Israel and Israel alone," Netanyahu said, adding that labeling would not hurt Israel's economy but would affect jobs for Palestinian workers employed in the areas in question.
Israel's foreign ministry summoned the EU envoy to the country over the decision and called the step "discriminatory."
EU ambassador Lars Faaborg-Andersen was informed that Israeli officials would not attend a number of scheduled EU meetings, the ministry said.
"Because of the latest EU decision, Israel is suspending its diplomatic dialogue with the EU in various forums which had been scheduled to take place in the coming weeks," it said.

I’ve been defending the E. U. against the Islamic hoards, but the truth be told, the E. U. has been spiraling back towards antisemitism and it’s disdain for rational thinking related to Israel is palpable. They can’t blame that on the followers is Islam. They’re just rotten thinkers.
Europe is pretty much a lost cause.
When it’s too late to stop it all and they finally see how stupid they’ve been, we’ll be sending covert aid to the resistance there.
Oh. And we’ll label the air dropped munitions, ‘produit de les juives de Israel’.
The EU is getting hit by a tsunami of shi’ite, and sunna or later they will stem the tide or be drowned. I suppose their last words will be to denounce the Jews, Israeli or otherwise.
That’s as they become Eurabia. The resistance, however, will take our aid and like it, and later on pay us back with interest and a smile on their faces. Boycott that.
I hope so, but their so called leaders value political correctness over any sense of survival..
Probably so for all the good it will do them.
They need to put the brakes on now and slip into reverse.
They should also file international charges against people like Soros.
Israel needs to tell the Americans and European nations to knock it off and keep their corrupt hands off of Israel. Then they need to drill for the largest oil field in the Golan Heights and to drill for the gas in the leviathan gas area and undercut the Russian and Islamic nations that overcharge the world so that Europe could buy oil at much lower prices in Israel. And much of their monetary policy would be taken care of by the God of Israel they yet will come to know when Jesus returns to save them from all their enemies world wide. It would be the end of the evil left wing governments who rob and pillage people worldwide.
What next, make jews wear the star of david?
Why wait? Wear them preemptively as a protest (and get attacked by Islamofascists, so scratch that unless you’re willing to travel in groups armed with innocuous tools such as hammers and screwdrivers).
They won’t. History repeats itself endlessly for those too stupid to learn from it. I wish them luck when they finally do wake up and smell the burnt coffee boiling out in the percolator.
If you tell the US and EU where to go, they will just apply the screws much harder.
What we need are new alliances with the likes of India, Armenia, Cyprus, South Sudan, and nurture along new states such as Coptia, Assyria, and Greater Kurdistan. I call the concept EMA (Eastern Minorities Alliance). As for the great powers, such as China, the US and Russia, we must be friendly but not servile. And every time the US speaks of their unbreakable bond with us, we must politely but firmly disabuse them of their delusions.

A retaliatory boycott of the Arab-squatter-occupied parts of Israel wouldn't work, because the only things produced there are by Israeli-owned businesses. :') Thanks Eleutheria5.
