The Concerned Faculty group at the University of Missouri is to begin a two-day walkout today in support of student activists who say the school has done too little to address their concerns about racism and racial intolerance on campus.
"We, the concerned faculty of the University of Missouri, stand in solidarity with the Mizzou student activists who are advocating for racial justice on our campus and urge all MU faculty to demonstrate their support by walking out on Monday.....

I hate having to defend the University President, who is probably a FLAMING LIBERAL, but to blame him for real or perceived racism is ignorant.
Why don't these GENIUSES demand OBAMA resign because of lingering racism in America? He has done nothing to stop it....and in fact has exacerbated it.
Sounds like its past time to clean out the stables.
As an alum of the University of Kansas, I say let them walk. Shut the place down. Except KU might be next. I think that this is an offshoot of the Ferguson/St. Louis nexus. We won’t even drive across Missouri on I-70 anymore. Evil part of the world.
Shut the whole place down. It’s LOST and of very limited value.
Some peeps be hell bent on starting CWII
Missouri Faculty to Walk Out in Solidarity With Students
Ain’t that just special?
If they acted like Americans instead of like liberal whiny entitled thugs, then maybe they wouldn’t face so much disgust from the public at large.
Face it, with all the reports of Fergusson, knock out games and other such acts by obama’s children, if you are white it is stupid to trust a black person unknown to you.
This is the racial environment that obama and holder have brought into being by their racism against whites.
Now their children will have to live with it for decades while we try to get the system repaired back to 2006 status again. Obama wiped out 50 plus years of racial progress.
They need a Ronnie Reagan Air Traffic controller housecleaning.
The chancellor can make this simple.
Bring in the athletic director and his executives...note that the school is disengaging from all NCAA sports for a three-year period. You don’t need their services, so dismiss them.
The team? Send them a note and just say school provided accommodations will be finished in seven days, and the scholarship deal will no longer be valid.
Any professors who support the walk-out? Dismiss them, period.
wait til they find out it’s a hoax...
I used to joke that after working as a full time professor I would never get a real job.
Due to the unionized faculty, full time meant 10 hours a week, 28 weeks per year of in class instruction. My office hours were between my classes.
My last year of teaching (had to leave as my professional practice grew so big that I had no free time to teach) they rearranged my schedule so that I only worked Tuesday and Thursday. Think about that, two days per week, five hours per day for 28 weeks a year... I WAS FULL TIME. I actually felt guilty taking my paycheck!!!
So what is the actual trigger for this strike? Nebulous rumors of “Somebody called me the N-word” that nobody can track down? Leading to near-riots, screaming out their demands “or else?”
On that basis, any institution can be shut down.
1. Athletes that don't show up for scheduled practice will have their scholarships revoked.
2. Teachers that don't show up for work will be fired.
That is all.
I do so hate ‘headline writers’ as this is an excellent example of a disconnect between the headline and the article. The headline says “Missouri Faculty” without ANY qualifications - in other words by plain English, it means the whole of the group! The article itself STARTS by saying it is a subset that calls itself “The Concerned Faculty GROUP!”
Anyway it just goes to show that there are idiots amongst the faculty as well as amongst the students and athletes (some posing as students). The article does state the following; “”Faculty will meet at the Carnahan Quadrangle starting at 10am and will be present throughout the day to respond to student questions in the form of a teach in. Students are encouraged to check email for information from their professors.” & “It’s unclear how many staff, if any, plan to walk out at the Columbia, Missouri, campus.”
Speaking ‘ex Cathedra’ from my belly-button, I predict high participation by the liberal arts and victimhood studies faculty. I hope that there will be few from the ‘hard sciences’ but I’m certain that some will be there, it is a global solidarity kind of thing after all!
See 12. What was the actual incident? All I have heard is “So and so said a white student called him/her an N-word.”
No proof, no nothing. Not even a fake noose, actually hung up by a black provocateur, as is SOP.
From this article, it sounds like the Board may very well fire the President today.
Don’t know about the Athletic Director, but the football coach said he and the rest of the team stand as one.
This will be the outcome: The President will be the sacrificial lamb. He will “resign” (he’ll offer his resignation rather then be pushed out). A black man or woman will be appointed President on an interim basis.
The supposed racial divide will worsen (from the accounts I’ve read, it sounds as if there are a couple of racist incidents, one of which was related to alcohol so it doesn’t sound systemic-but whatever).
There will be other sacrificial lambs. My bet is that the white football coach gets ousted (he’s sympathetic now, but they’ll turn on him too when they get a taste of power) and there will be demands for a black coach.
The university is 17% minority (don’t know exact % of blacks). The demands are for more minorities in university leadership positions. So this won’t stop with the President.
Beat me to it. See my Post 17.
It’s a nice scam if you can find someone corrupt enough to buy it.
Pray America wakes
