Why would Cruz scare the uniparty? When the chips are on the table he votes with uniparty (TPA, Patriot Act, H1B, Amnesty, etc). Trump is the only candidate not owned by the uniparty. Trump is the one the ruling elites fear.

They HAVE to destroy Carson, and to a lesser extent Trump.
The Democrats rely on getting about 23 million Black votes in a Presidential Election. If Carson, or Trump, peal 10% of those votes away, the Democrats cannot win.
Getting a portion of the Black population listening to a Carson, or a populist like Trump, and the Democrat party is dead.
