He’s just handed Republicans another issue to help beat the Dhimmicraps, if they’re willing to use it.

Trump should issue a statement immediately.

We need those job-seeking Reagan Democrats to be enraged and motivated.

“The State Department has decided the Keystone XL pipeline would not serve the national interests of the United States.

There is something very wrong about this!

"The State Department has decided the Keystone XL pipeline would not serve the national interests of the United States. I agree with that decision," the president said, brushing off Keystone's potential impact on the economy and on North American energy security and saying the entire issue has been overblown and has occupied an "inflated role in our political discourse" over the past seven years.

The state department has decided that the pipeline won't serve the political interest of the president, and then made a whole lot of assumptions which the state department is absolutely unqualified to make or measure.

But hey, here's another gift to the next president: No need for department of energy, department of commerce, department of labor - it is all able to be handled easily by the gifted state department who can absolutely miss an Egyptian coup, bungle embassy security, reset Russian relations to near cold war levels, etc.

If I were the republican candidates, I’d reassure the pipeline folks in private talks that would have had to wait for the end of the Obama regime anyway, so just hang in there for another 14 months and it will go through.

But opens the door very wide for Trump to go after union votes by promising to build it aggressively.
