A stabbing rampage at UC Merced did not appear to be motivated by politics or religion and is not being considered a terrorist act, university and law enforcement officials said Thursday.
Authorities named Faisal Mohammad, 18, of Santa Clara, as the assailant who was shot and killed by campus police after stabbing four people, including two fellow students. Mohammad was a freshman computer science and engineering student.
“We have no reason to believe that this was in any way related to terrorism,†UC Merced Chancellor Dorothy Leland said at a news conference at the Merced County Sheriff’s Office. “It would be irresponsible to draw such conclusions based solely on the ethnicity of the suspect.â€

If Faisal Mohammad had been a Christian conservative, the authorities would be shutting down all the churches in southern California (at least the ones that haven’t already been converted into trendy restaurants).

I have two words for the esteemed chancellor: Bee SSSSS.
They do have a good point. The perpetrator has not yet said anything about why he stabbed the other folks and until he does they cannot know his motivation. Ergo, no evidence of terrorism.
When a govt official speaks, just take it that they are lying to you and you won’t be disappointed.

Muslim-involved violence is amazingly quick to solve. Some other crimes require research and forensics, including phone records and computer records. Not with Muslim-involved crimes. All authorities need is a few minutes to declare “No Islam to see here folks. Move along!”
