The Workers World Party is taking to New York City for a two-day conference to show how to spread socialism around the nation and world, and to explain why the time is ripe for such expansion.
The event, titled âPutting Socialist Revolution on the Table,â kicks off Saturday at the Shabazz Center, and includes panel discussions on Black Lives Matter, with an emphasis on women and LGBT leadership; how to be a revolutionary; and on dispelling myths about Chinaâs socialism.
It also includes the discussion topic âfighting imperialism means building internationalism,â according to an advertisement sent out by the WWP.
Event organizers Teresa Gutierrez, Scott Williams and Monica Moorehead announced hundreds are attending from around the nation.
âThey say the growing resistance to deepening economic inequality, and especially to racist police attacks, has awakened not only struggle in the streets but a desire to understand what is behind the growing crisis of the capitalist system,â WWP said. âIt should offer a real alternative for any worker, oppressed person or activist wanting to combat the institutionalized racism, poverty and war that is plaguing the globe.â
The groupâs second planned panel is aimed at getting into the specifics of spreading socialism â including what those of the far-left can do to team with Black Lives Matter to push the agenda.
âIt is called âBuilding Worldwide Solidarity with Black Lives Matter and Migrantsâ and will begin after the first panel ends,â WWP said.
Discussions will also include ways socialists can influence the 2016 elections.

According to polls most Millenials view it favorably.
So they are probably correct that the time is right.
Millenials support socialism because they don’t know what it is.
Workers World Party is hardcore communist. They founded the “peace” groups ANSWER, FIST (a youth-orientated group), and Troops Out Now (during Iraq war). An offshoot of theirs is the Party For Liberation and Socialism. They and the Revolutionary Communist party are behind many of the various demonstrations.

The Mensheviks differed from the Bolsheviks insofar as they realized a capitalist phase was vital to creating enough value/wealth in society to support everyone, THEN would proceed to forcibly redistribute it.
These idiots don’t realize that value/wealth is largely perishable, and that frustrating the creation thereof thru confiscation stifles renewal thereof.
Yes, they do. Unfortunately.
They’re a little late. It’s been here for a while.
We’ve had Corporate Socialism for some time, as the past seven years has clearly demonstrated.
Thus it’s getting harder and harder to explain to some poor schmo out there who can barely pay his rent why a little should not be getting redistributed in his direction as well.
Or perhaps eliminate them altogether.
Children of Paul Wellstone.
Wait, I thought the Democrat Convention was next year.
on the bright side...as noted yesterday of all the democratic losses under Obummos reign, it appears socialism is being soundly rejected at the polls. It’s only being propped up by the fringe and their lsm allies.
Note to all registered Democrats....the military, vets, police and gun owners will take a stand....
Hey Bro! When I started scrolling through your post I knew it had to be you. Great job as always! Thanks for your counter-revolutionary diligence!
