Cairo has been pumping water into Gaza's underground network of tunnels to stop the flow of weapons from the coastal envoy to militants in Sinai.
GAZA - Mahmoud Bakeer speaks with despair about the night of the flash flood, when he screamed at his wife and five children to flee their home on Gaza's border with Egypt as the water rushed in.
They made it to safety during the flooding last week, but a network of Palestinian tunnels running under the frontier town of Rafah is now water-logged, destroyed by Cairo to sever what it says is a weapons smuggling route out of Gaza for Islamist insurgents in Egypt's Sinai desert.
For Bakeer, 61, the fact that Egypt, once a gateway to the world for Gaza's 1.8 million Palestinians, was behind his family's suffering, was particularly painful.
"We respect our neighbors, we love Egypt, but our neighbors are making our life harder," he said in his one-story unfinished cinder block house, around which water seeps and cracks in the ground are growing wider.
Egypt's pumping of salt water from the nearby Mediterranean into the tunnels is not only creating a mess as it rises to the surface. Palestinian officials say it is also contaminating water supplies as well as threatening to wreck farmland and spread disease.

Israel cannot be as aggressive as Egypt. Their aggression would be perceived as an act of war by the international community. They are basically limited to obvious self defense while Obama is in office.
Exactly right. Israel’s hands are tied until Obama is out of office, and that can’t happen soon enough for Israel’s sake. Obama is going to make one more great concrted effort to screw Israel over before he leaves office, mark my words. He’s not done in his attempts to destroy Israel. Obama is evil personified.

Geez, when are these extra characters that show up unsolicited going to disappear from posts? Where’s the cure? Why is it happening? Why the silence about it? It never happened before about a month ago, and now, all the time. I hope to heck someone is working on this problem, because it is a total distraction when reading on threads. Enough is enough.
But this is one glitch that is seemingly never-ending...yet we get not ONE thread or post from the PTB on a possible cause, on steps being taken....and nary even a word or two about a possible timetable for a cure. Such information would be most welcome as this problem drags on. From posts I read almost every day some freepers still think the problem is in their own computers. I hope they don't call in expensive computer technicians for "repair".

Deuteronomy 7:2 only applies to the Hittites, Girgashites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites, and the Jebusites, and none of them exist anymore.
Deuteronomy 6:18, on the other hand, demands that the Jews "Do what is right and good in the LORD's sight, so that it may go well..."
The problem is that the poster is using a curled closing quotation mark instead of the apostrophe or double quote to the right of the semicolon key on the keyboard, or their browser is automatically replacing a quotation mark with a curly closing quote. Can't is not the same thing as canât, and if the poster would preview their post they'd be able to see the problem and fix it before they post.
What is right, and necessary, is to kill the enemy. Before he kills you, if that’s his intention . Any responsible government has this DUTY to its citizens, indeed this is the primary responsibility and purpose of government.
“’Egypt has done more damage to Gaza tunnels in a few weeks than Israel did in 2 decades’”
You said “...maybe Israel will learn a few things from the Egyptians .????”
Israel finds and destroys tunnels from Gaza into Israel but
they can’t go to Gaza to get rid of tunnels going to Egypt. Those tunnels start in Gaza and go underground to Egypt.
Every time Israeli military go into Gaza to stop and destroy rockets coming to them, they destroy tunnels then gong into Egypt, everywhere they can find them, but when war stops, Gaza militants make more tunnels into Egypt.
Egypt can find the tunnels into their country and that’s the ones they are destroying.
What? We’re no longer ‘thirsting the Palestinians’?
I see. Thanks! That makes sense. (Ps: Gaza is a perpetual terror nest needing elimination ASAP).
The only improvement they could make is to wait until the tunnels are occupied with terrorists smuggling weapons.
Where’s the cure?
If you copy and paste from other sources, and the copy include apostrophes or quotation marks, they come out in some kind of code. The cure is to delete the code, enter the mark from your keyboard and post. I did it and it works.
Neither do I.
