A veterans advocacy group is criticizing the plan to reform the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) released by Donald Trump.
Concerned Veterans for America (CVA) said the plan was âheavy of rhetoric, light on specificsâ in a statement on Saturday.

You mean like Kerry was savagely attacked? Being a Veteran group does not give them sainthood.
Pray America wakes
We all must remember there are all types who serve and therefore all types of vets. Not all of them are conservative.
Keep in mind, too, that the leadership of any group will tend to made up of the people who specifically angle to get into that leadership. Liberals tend to do that specifically so they can take over groups. Probably what happened here, and the VFW and AL don't represent that majority of veterans.
[[We served willingly and got paid for it, and except for those few who sustained truly debilitating wounds, none of us is owed a damned thing by anybody else.]]
However, you DO deserve better than the broken VA clinics- As well, medicare isn’t free- there’s a monthly fee-
Thank you for your service, we can never repay you and thank you for your unselfish love of this country.
VFW and AL = public employee’s union for vets.
The irony is vets don’t really join.
Kerry was a coward and a traitor. He shot a 15 year old kid in the back with twin .50 cal machine guns. and he was attacked by veterans.
Huge difference.
Follow the money.
The American Legion does not endorse candidates. That is contrary to its founding principles and Congressional Charter.
The American Legion does advocate Veterans issues. It exposed the Department of Veterans Affairs current failings. And it continues to hold the department accountable to Congress and The People.
According to the search I just did on this group:
Concerned Veterans for America (CVA) is a 501(c)(4) non-profit which seems to be funded almost entirely by the Koch brothers donor network.

Seems to me, the Kochâs, and the Bushes seem to be on the same page at the moment.
Trumpbots attack US veterans in 3. . . 2 . . . 1 . . .
Just stop with the snarky and obviously ill-informed comments. And if you were informed then it’s even worse. Not one other candidate that I know of had put forward anything on vets.
A veterans advocacy group is criticizing the plan to reform the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) released by Donald Trump.
Is it possible that they haven’t criticized the plans of the other candidates, because they have none?
"While Donald Trump rightly proposes more health care choices for veterans and long-overdue accountability for bad VA employees, his âplanâ is painfully thin on specifics about how he would implement those principles," CVA CEO Pete Hegseth said in the statement.
1. How come only Trump has to come up with very specific plans down to the molecule. Who else is coming up with molecular level plans? Why would a candidate be that specific BEFORE the general? Petie, hate to say this, you comments are a hit job. I lost a lot of respect for you. Shame.
2. Since the Vets are the major concern for the CVA, where the hell is the CVA’s detailed requirements needed to improve the VA?
3. The VA is a single payer system. SCRAP IT.
Any thing to do with the Koch Brothers are bad news...if they are behind knocking Trump’s VA suggestions, at this time, then they need to be brought down!!!
CVA is associated with the Koch’s, who are no fan of Trump.
Veterans have every right to be skeptical of any promises made by anyone.
They also have the right to point out propaganda when they see it on FR. This is a group that John Kerry would love.
I think that’s the eventual plan - to abolish the VA. Yes, all who have served are owed more than what they have received. You have put your life out there for the rest of us and I’ll be danged if the illegals deserve better treatment. So, just be glad that someone cares enough to overhaul this monstrosity. It isn’t pandering - Trump has always been involved with veterans. Maybe you don’t see it as a big deal, but the majority of Americans do. Thank you for your service.
âI think this is just a libbie front group...â
The Koch brothers are simply doing what Libertarians do.
