The co-pilot of the doomed Russian passenger plane that crashed in Egyptâs Sinai Peninsula Saturday killing 224 people on board had doubts about the jetâs safety before the flight.
The wife of the co-pilot of the plane said late Saturday her husband had complained about the plane's condition, according to a Russian TV channel.
In an interview with state-controlled NTV, Natalya Trukhacheva, identified as the wife of co-pilot Sergei Trukachev, said her daughter "called him up before he flew out. He complained before the flight that the technical condition of the aircraft left much to be desired."

Only flew in them a few times but it was noticeable that my ears didn’t pop on ascent and descent, which I interpreted to mean the plane held sea level pressure at high altitude. In other words, fuselage built like Siberian brick s#!+house! The problem as I understand it with the old Soviet era planes were the engines. Now that they’re flying Airbus the problem would be maintenance of typically fine tuned and unforgiving European engineering. Throw in flying out of an airport where the ground support are Arabs (Egypt employs their own, not technically proficient Asian labor) and you’re going to multiply the problems.
Should he have beem complaining to someone else ?
ISIS have released a video now which would seem to support the claim that they took it down. Very tragic.
So far it appears to be a hoax. ISIS in the Sinai would not have a means to down the aircraft from its high altitude unless an onboard bomb had been used. Investigators so far have indicated the wreckage shows no sign of such an explosion, and the pilot radioed an emergency call citing technical difficulties that is usually inconsistent with a catastrophic explosion.
I hate Airbus planes.
I’ve probably flown a million miles and the worst flight I’ve had based on perceived mechanical integrity was an Air Italia AB 319 in 1991.
Horrendous gear grinding sound at take off, which I attributed to an APU.
I was very thankful when we landed in Ljubljana Yugoslavia, to change flights for London.
....until I discovered we’d be flying the same plane with a different flight number....
I asked the flight attendant if they’d fixed that horrible noise.
She smiled and said.....”It’s ok, it goes away after take off.”......
Isis says they did it.
Russians scoff at that claim.
FOX says it just crashed due to a systems failure of some sort.
Obama regime was talking about combat troops not being really combat troops.
Now the big question is, which liar is lying?
Well, with the Obama regime in the mix, which two.
“The A/C was likely brought down by an internal bomb, either a suicide bomber or a barometric bomb, or a surface to air missile, so the maintenance condition of the A/C is somewhat moot.”
Unless the damn tail fell off, which has been known to happen to various Airbus models.
If it aint Boeing, I aint going!!
Until the crash investigators can piece together the evidence no one can know what caused the aircraft to crash. Even if you wanted to speculate that ISIS knew they had placed a bomb aboard the aircraft, they would have no way of knowing whether the bomb or a technical fault caused the crash before the bomb could detonate. All of the reports about the cause of the crash we are currently seeing amount to nothing more than speculation, with some of the speculation being totally uninformed and some of the speculation being fairly well informed. A surface-to-air missile (SAM) leaves some quite obvious shrapnel evidence, so the absence of such shrapnel evidence usually will rule out the crash being caused by a SAM or an air-to-air intercept missile (AIM) fired from a fighter aircraft.
Likewise a large internal explosion due to an onboard bomb will typically cause the fuselage to rupture in an outwards direction and leave residues from the explosive all over the objects where the explosive was placed.
So, it does no good to falsely accuse these sources of giving false conclusions for the cause of the crash, when in fact no one is doing anything more than speculating on the incomplete evidence seen so far.
“What next, the aircraft was brought down by a YouTube video?”
That possibility has already been explored. The MSM is currently checking to see if global warming and cancer causing pork could have done it.
I flew on a now defunct airline out of Indianapolis many years ago. Their plane was a Shorts Brothers high wing constructed of plywood. After we got on board, a ground crew guy duct taped the door closed.
It is all speculation, and the video may well be fake...however, they are recovering bodies from a several mile radius, which would mean that the plane broke up before hitting the ground. The first body was that of a little girl, found about 3 miles from the crash site, and they have since then expanded the search radius to 9 miles.
Did a bit of flying in Russia myself awhile back. Did you ever land at Sheremeteyov in the mid 90’s? Duct tape everywhere...
“So, it does no good to falsely accuse these sources of giving false conclusions for the cause of the crash, when in fact no one is doing anything more than speculating on the incomplete evidence seen so far.”
Sorry pal, I accuse no one. All I said was liars lie and all of us, well most of us know ISIS, the Russians and FOX (and the other media) are liars of the first order and the question is, which one.
Sheesh. Some peoples kids.
.
Of course, you have zero facts to back up your bias. The fact is, Airbus as a designer and manufacturer, has an excellent record in the thirty year history of the A320 series.
Even if both engines fail shouldn't it be able to glide?
Somebody might have agreed
Murdering a plane load of Russian tourists, mostly women ( and 17 children) would be considered a great military victory by either party
Fake video
Aircraft isn’t even the right color much less at 33,000 feet
But suitable for cheers on the arab street
