President Obama has authorized sending "less than 50" special operations forces to work in Syria with "local opposition" forces to "train, advise and assist" them in their fight against the Islamic State, a White House spokesman confirmed on Friday.
White House spokesman Josh Earnest said the troops would not serve in combat roles, but admitted that they could find themselves in harm's way, like Army Master Sgt. Joshua Wheeler, who perished during a special operations forces raid in Iraq last week.
"They do not have a combat mission; they have a training, advise and assist role," Earnest said. "They will not be charging to take a hill."

I disagree Lee, I think Obama intends to maneuver a shooting war using the US Military and NATO troops to kill White Christian and their resistance to the forming of the World Caliphate, and the more US troops he can get killed doing it, the better.

The United States sent 35 advisors to Vietnam in May 1950.
My Dad was one of the later ones.
I remember standing with him in front of the Infantry school in Benning, `66, and some one he knew stopped us and asked him if he was looking forward to “working on his tan”.
He replied, “Yeah, and I’ve been practicing walking on my knees.”

Sounds like a good way to get ‘less than 50’ guys killed. That’s not enough to provide a critical mass for security for our guys.
