My granddaughter painted a pumpkin a couple weeks ago. It began to prematurely rot. I placed it outside out back on the concrete patio, intending to bury it later. Racoons got to it and left a small section with seeds. That went into the soil to grow for next year. It’s organic, why toss it in the garbage can when you can compost it?

Oh, yes. I do remember 15 years ago that the global warming models were all predicting excess jack-o-lanterns would be an important cause of global warming. Indeed, while the models included ALL harmless fun, such as the CO2 given off by kid’s birthday candles, as primary drivers, I do remember that jack-o-lanterns were specially singled out.
