Donald Trump loves polls and he has not spent a lot of $ on his campaign. Trump should just create his own polling company. Publish their methodologies. Make it an open and understandable process.
Been saying for a long time the downfall of Tea Party was they failed to create their own polling institution as well as failed to forthrightly deal with voting discrepancies. It's too much to ask Trump, mid campaign, to deal with the latter, but he can do the former. These Establishment polls need to be examined and their methodologies outed.
Sick of being lied to.
Other thing I am sick of? Sick of the GOPe pushing actual issues on THEIR time frame. Like this IRS impeachment JUST HAPPENS to be the same day of the Prez GOP debate and Ryan's vote?
Really?
Liars. THROW THEM ALL OUT!
Want to have a good chuckle? Follow back through the last ten days or so of Jeb’s news memes. I mean the memes pumped through the MSM every two hours or so, to see what will stick.
It could be they are pumping out new memes every hour or less, but I noticed it was about every two hours this past few days.
It’s hysterically funny or macabre, take your pick.
I have a hard time believing that he is *not* doing internal polls. They are not that expensive for someone in his position, about 10-20K, I believe.
It is smart for him to hold them close to his chest.
A good negotiator knows when to keep valuable information to himself, and when to use it.
P.S. I like what you wrote about SuperPacs and I like what Trump said about PACs in general.
I appreciate Trump bringing up the issue of PACs having strange, unaccountable agendas — ‘specially after Cruz’s PAC donated to Carly?
That tricky old David Barton!
The failure of the TEA party is that they abandoned their original cause and added on a ton of social conservative causes that the general population either doesn’t agree with or doesn’t care about.
In essence, the tea party—that was born during the TARP crisis and vote—was hijacked by the right wing of the party and thus, died a slow painful death.
Early on Trump said he did not need to spend money on his own pollsters, that all the polls showed him ahead.
Trump conducts a poll every time he has an event: Trump - Tens of thousands show up. Everyone else - can barely fill a nursing home audience.
I would think he’d already have that, but would surely keep it close to the vest. Might need to reveal it at some point. But the real polls don’t start until Feb. 1, 2016.
No doubt Trump is doing internals. He knows just how well he is doing.
trump is not disputing these polls
i am not sure what is going on
we’ll have to wait and see
for me, it’s irrational to think carson has this strength
what i do know, is that if he does and gets the nomination:
our borders will remain open
our illegals will remain, more to join
our nation will be tapped to pay for them
our military will not be rebuilt
our global standing will grow even weaker
our national debt will continue to climb
our education system will destroy us
our vets can kiss hope good-bye
our taxes will get worse not better
our jobs situation will get no better
the charismatic being gone settle in for 30 more years
we won’t last 30 more years
I still don’t get why Cruz’ PAC donated $500K to Snarly’s campaign. Very strange.
Oh I’m sure he has people upon people doing things for him, he knows what the truth is and he knows things about every candidate....
You just can’t help but love “The Donald”!
I keep thinking Trump is probably doing some internal polling. Or if he wasn’t he is now. It might not hurt to put up some really positive ads in Iowa either.
Um, he seems to be....
Does anybody think that @CNBC will get their fictitious polling numbers corrected sometime prior to the start of the debate. Sad!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) October 28, 2015
I'm sure the media will not report the highly respected new national poll that just came out via The Economist. 32%! https://t.co/aalSqnGHa3— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) October 28, 2015
Freeper Red Steel had analyzed and outed the Carson Iowa polls as all being cooked.
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/3352011/posts?page=27#27 So Carson winning in Iowa was a crazy lie. But I noticed it was pushed through ALL OF THE NEWS OUTLETS, the week after Trump said his 9/11 comments.
Even old Bushie Dana Perino said that she was surprised how Trump came out stronger after his 9/11 comments about why “electing Bush didn't stop 9/11, so electing Jeb wouldn't stop another attack...”
But the Establishment needed a coverup for how Carson was leading in Iowa — so the meme that was pushed on all the conservative news outlets was that “Trump was losing in Iowa to Carson because of his 9/11 comments”.
All preposterous. Look up what Freeper Red Steel published on the Carson in Iowa polls. Then remember that all Trump was saying was that since the election of Geo W Bush didn't keep us safe from 9/11, so the election of Jeb wouldn't keep us safe from another attack... It was a brilliant point. It was also backed up by the fact that Trump predicted 9/11 in his year 2000 book. LOL
You're right. I remember Trump saying that.
Apparently Trump trusts the polls.
No, what he shouldn’t do is succumb to poll-drive narratives. As long as he’s got thousands showing up to his rallies, all that he needs to do is convert them into active supporters. Then, come election day, watch the returns come in.
I think putting up ads in Iowa is a good idea. And mailing flyers. Rubio’s supporters have been sending them out for the past couple of weeks.
Ok, glad to be corrected there. Evidently he does seem some gamesmanship. He could also be playing it though. LOL If so, smart move.
I looked at that poll. Interesting the lengths they to go to prop up Carson.
“If you add Trumps first and Second place standing and compare it to Carson’s why they’re almost the same.
Never mind that Carson is trailing by 14 points in that straight up poll.
Trump says he hasn’t done it because he would be over exposed but I still think a couple of well made ads would do some good.
You didn’t read the second part of my Tea Party epitaph: the Establishment is rigging votes and Tea Party had no apparatus in place to deal with it.
Remember Obama winning a Pennsylvania precinct by 110% in 2012?
To a less well-known incident, do you know that the voter turnout in Alaska in 2008 was at prehistoric c.1940 levels? 1940 was nineteen years before Alaska was a state!
(Suspiciously low voter turnout is a sign of vote tampering. And of course that was the year Sarah Palin was running for VP)
Well, there would be no agency to rig votes like that if there were really reliable pollsters.
Polling is driving the MSM newsmemes. It’s all b.s. until you understand how the polls are actually done.
