Austrians are arming themselves at record rates in an effort to defend their households against feared attacks from Muslim invaders.
Tens of thousands of Muslim refugees have poured into Austria from Hungary and Slovenia in recent months on their way to Germany and Sweden, two wealthy European countries that have laid out the welcome mat for migrants. More than a million will end up in Germany alone by the end of this year, according to estimates from the German government.
Obtaining a working firearm and ammunition in Germany, Britain, Denmark and the Netherlands is practically impossible for the average citizen. Germany, for instance, requires a psychological evaluation, the purchase of liability insurance and verifiable compliance with strict firearms storage and safety rules. And self-defense is not even a valid reason to purchase a gun in these countries.
The laws in Austria, while still strict, are a bit less overbearing.
A Czech TV report confirms that long guns shotguns and rifles have been flying off the shelves in Austria, and Austrians who havent already purchased a gun may not have a chance to get one for some time. Theyre all sold out.

To a liberal, history began at breakfast this morning...................
It’s there own version of the NRA.
No

I wonder how many MP-40s and PPshs there are under beds and in barns throughout Europe. I mean, all that stuff had to go *somewhere*.
Couple of months ago some old German fellow was found to have an operable Panther tank in his basement. The Heer came and took it away. He had all kinds of good stuff besides that.
Should we send Hillary, Obama and Holder?
Is this in the mainstream press in the US, because here in Canada you never hear these stories.
They just need to go to Belgium, very liberal Gun laws there.
Will Austria call in the Winged Hussars?
Haven’t seen it anywhere. Probably because the msm is to busy massaging the story to be filled with rainbows and unicorns and talking up how the euro-peons will be so enlightened by inviting these wonderful peaceful folks in to their homes.
Tell them to check the mosques!
The fact Stephen Harper didn’t want them in Canada may have sealed his fate - made him look intolerant.
Purty sure the peaceful refugees won’t have any problem obtaining firearms.
I won’t tolerate intolerance. :>}
"Paging Mr. Charles Martel...will Charles 'The Hammer' Martel please pickup the white courtesy phone?"
Maybe it was my upbringing but the word “tolerance” had different meaning when I grew up. It mean to “bear with something one disliked”, but in no way did it apply acceptance of what one was putting up with. The connotation was very negative.
I guess socialist PC has its consequences.
Denmark has put its own people in a pot and turned up the burner.
Muslims have brought the tartar sauce and are hungry.
Mr. GG2’s daughter and SIL and their 3 kids live in rural France. The SIL is French and they live on a family owned estate. We are expecting them to come running back home any month now. As soon as the Muslims start pouring into the rural areas its going to be terrible. Right now they are all in the cities especially Toulouse.
And excellent news it is as well!
I’ve returned this evening From South Tyrol, Südtirol, after being there since yesterday afternoon, visiting a friend. They’re Austrian, but stuck within Northern Italy, they are a gorgeous little place:
Eurosocialists treat people like they are children.
The socialist nanny state sang them lullabies and assured them that bad things like wars wouldn’t happen any more and soon there would be a wonderful multicultural paradise where children from all over the world could sing and play together. tralalalalalala
That is where they hide their guns and bomb making materials.
