Carson is a non starter... he’s a nice man, but not remotely ready for prime time. He’s like the flavor of the months last election cycle, as folks were bouncing from perry to west to santorum trying to find someone other than Romney.
Carson will fade, and Trump will get most of his support.
Its Trump’s to lose, for good or ill.

Appeals to moderates for common sense solutions.

Rags to riches story.
Alternate to Trump.
Carson Negatives:
Will not deport illegals.
Weak on 2nd A.
Has not accomplished anything in main street economy.

Wants to get rid of Medicare.
If I were Trump I would not worry about Carson at all. His function is to keep Bush, Rubio, Fiorina, Kasich, et. al. in single digits.

This may be an artifact a glitch of Carson’s polling in Iowa looking so recently good. I am not certain.
I think though it would be unwise to discount simple “Trump fatigue” from this equation. And Carson is definitely the antidote to the brash self-importance Trump exudes.
Real people, not just those on the Internet, some of which apparently breathe atmospheres of contempt and loathing for those who disagree with them, but real people who can’t live day in and day out with rage and political vitriol may have tired of the diet Trump offers.

The teaser line reads like click-bait, pop-up garbage, and lo and behold, it is. I didn't find any real content there. Did I miss something?
They try to lead you to think a) there's something surprising revealed, and there isn't; and b) that he will be seen articulating some specific position he's talking about now, and he's not.

Morning Consult had Trump at 32% in late September so Trump went up 3% for the month. :-)
The graph corresponds directly to the Club for Growth smear ads that ran in Iowa, the convergence of mainstream media including FOX leading the way, and the well timed cascade of CASH for Carson by his PAC ground troops.
According to Trump, Carson has not been in Iowa for example, all that much, but his PAC has built the ground game for him and really covered Iowa.
Whatever, it’s a certainty that there is now, and will be a sustained convergence of money and interests all amassing in battle array, ready to strike and try to take Trump down.
Trump will need ground troops willing to walk and talk and work. He does need us.

I am SHOCKED.
Aside from immigration, I think Trump’s strongest calling card is his self funding and refusal to take money from lobbyists. He needs to hit this hard on Wednesday in the debate and he should not be afraid to call them all out; Carson, Cruz, Bush et al for taking lobbyist and donor money. Carson is not the innocent sleepy eyed man he appears. He is either consciously accepting big PAC and lobbyist money, or being used by the GOPe and donors and not aware of it. Trump knows what he is doing and I suspect he realizes that you don’t market a property heavily way before the sale date. However, politics is a different animal. I think Trump has a built in base of support in Iowa and has a great ground game. After Christmas hopefully he unleashes a deadly barrage of ads in Iowa, NH and SC.
