“Right now what we need is a tough SOB who cares little about class and gets in there and gets the job done, no matter how much blood is in the air and on the floor.”
Unfortunately tough can be only bravado and noise. Intelligence, strategy, courage and integrity get the job done. One can get the job done without being a bully.
You misunderstand the analogy.
My problem with most of the others is that I don’t think they have the balls to mount an all-out attack on Hillary. Including Ben. I’m still worried about Trump making a deal and getting cozy with Hill after winning the nomination.
To be fair, IIRC that Kabuki dance had to do with “World Court” idea of due process. No consular access prior to trial in this case.
Such ideas wouldn’t even be possible if it were not already the Western mode (in turn inherited from Christianity) to bend over backwards to be fair.
Another Kabuki dance typically goes on with people who oppose such considerations: they point out the heinousness of the accused crime. That is an orthogonal issue to due process. And it’s a red herring. Would it be any different if the accused crime were jaywalking?
You misuse the analogy. Trump is an expert in methodology not in policy particulars.
As far as Im concerned W gave us barrak hussein obama and thats what he should be remembered for.
I’d rather see him be president first and pick a few SCOTUS. No one would be able to pick real conservatives like him.
You still don’t get it......never mind.
You’ll need to explain how. Obama gave himself to the USA (as treacherous poison to be sure) and it took him. Don’t blame Dubya for this.
Yes
You’ll need to explain the particulars better if you want to come across as anything more than a masterful overweening know it all.
From what I can see, from a perspective 200+ miles North of the border, Ted Cruz reminds me of Stephen Harper. Both are VERY bright and Christian and, while they may both be great in one on one conversations, they come across somewhat, and are portrayed by the ‘drive-by,by media’, as ‘policy wonks’, lacking charisma.
Unfortunately, our MTV/MuchMusic dumbed down, instant gratification, non-thinking, yet all ‘feeling’ society, prefers the ‘sizzle’ to the ‘steak’. Why else was O’Venal’ elected in the US, and Bébé Turd-owe elected in Canada? Style over substance! Since the ‘drive-by’ media pimps the ‘progressive’ politician and slams the ‘conservative’ politician, the idea of a ‘lack of charisma’ of a conservative politician is re-inforced by the MSM.
As the oldest, most conservative generation passes away, the ‘progressives’ will continue to gain control over our society. Perhaps allowing large numbers of Eastern Europeans in, who remember the excesses of the ‘progressives’, can breathe new life into ‘conservativism’.

Increasing the debt, expanding government, supporting amnesty, calling islam "a religion of peace","No Child Left Behind"...yeah, he was a failure in many ways. The only he did that would've been different than a Demonrat was the tax cuts.
This is why we need a like button on FR, hell, we even need a dislike button.
“RE Cruz:
Gracious, classy, and smart. A damn fine Man.”
Jeb “Fredo” Bush.
” I have abilities...........I’m smaaaat! “
You are probably right, but imagine how the Left would howl over a Cruz SCOTUS nomination. Instead of a SCOTUS nominee being “Borked”, we would probably have to come up with a whole new word!!!!
Aww, poor John Cazale... “Fredo”....
Memorable character, from a man who died way too early.
