“This is hilarious. Dr. Ben is the new weapon being used by the establishment to take Trump down”

So true. Carson isn’t even campaigning. He’s on a book tour. LOL!

How do you figure? If Trump wins, I expect him to sweep the country at least with legitimate votes. If Trump drops out though, then you’re right. Hillary or Bush in the White House.

-- He's not being "used" by the establishment. He's running for president and some people like him. --

Those aren't mutually exclusive, not at all. The establishment is opportunistic, and will take advantage where it finds it.

So 2nd place should drop and the other eight single-digit candidates should stay?

LOL!!

When push comes to shove it is very hard for Iowans to walk away from Trump’s determination and declaration to perp walk, right out of the country, the illegal perps invading our border, because some Lefty establishment rag in Iowa runs a private poll that elevates one kindly candidate over another, for what, maybe 48 hours?

It will be a wild bore fight in Iowa, because there is no denying the turn out is UUUUUge showing up to hear Trump show Iowa what a leader with a knife in his teeth actually looks like. The Establishment needs a blowing up.

No more namby pamby. The only actual Force on the tarmac is Donald Trump.

This article says nothing literally about who should drop out.

Useless clickbait.

Oh he won’t run;

Oh he won’t send in his financial statement;

Oh he won’t last;

Oh he’s going to be dropping out;

Oh his numbers are going down;

Oh he is behind the pack;

OK, for over 100 days he has lead the Republican Candidates, he has filled more arenas, statiums, fairs, than any of the other candidates, and he has a gun plan out, and a tax plan out, and he has a multi-billion dollar company he is running, and a book coming out...and is speaking to events at least twice a week...

Now you tell me, what are the other candidates doing? Oh yes, Ben Carson LEFT his campaign to do a ‘book tour’ but Trump hasn’t left HIS campaign for his ‘book tour’....Jeb is whining about his brother’s name; Rubio, a sitting Senator from Fla isn’t showing up for votes in the Senate; and on and on...what are they doing? I’ll tell you what Trump is doing:

This is the Trump Train:

He has told us about illegal immigration, and how he would handle it;

He has shown that if we had good immigration laws, we wouldn’t have the people that blew up the World Trade Center Buildings, the Pentagon...and has proved what needs to be done to enact the laws;

He has told us about how to get jobs back into America, and what he would do to do it;

He has a tax plan, and how it works;

He has a gun plan, and how he would work it;

He has told us obumacare is bad for the country, and what he would do about it;

He has told us about the Social Security going broke, and what he is going to do about it;

He has told us that the immigrants are being treated better than our vets, and what he would do to change it;

He has told us why he is financing his own campaign and why he is doing that;

He has told us that he wants Education back in the States, not in the federal government; and how bad common core is and why;

He has told us why he wants to shut down the EPA, and the reasons why;

He has told us why P.C. is so bad, and how it is taking away our expression of the freedoms we have;

So this is why my support goes to Trump, he makes deals, he runs multi billion dollar companies, and owns them, with someone as brilliant as this, I want THIS someone to put America on its feet again....

Iowa is a pretty state and there are some real salt of the earth people there but as far as the electorate goes it’s not Red and Blue. It’s more Cobalt and Purple.

This is true. Native Iowan (Cyclone variety). Spent most of my first quarter century there. Conservatives like me who no longer reside there, plus the overwhelming leftist ideology coming out of that glorious? center for higher learning in Iowa City have a lot to do with the bluing of the state.

Iowa should not be a religion only consideration and I think at worst Trump would be a mild favorable.

The problem I have for Carson is he hasn’t had success beyond charity foundations and his surgery.
I think he is a great guy and if he gets elected a governor or to the Congress or Senate for a couple of years he could be good.

Whereas with Trump, he has shown through past statements and in book amazing discernment regarding foreign affairs and business, both of which are paramount in the skills we need for the next President.
Trump has paid lots of salaries, built lots of things and we need to build the country again.

Cruz also is a great guy who IMO has been so slandered by the press and by both his and the Democrat party that he has become a pariah to many voters at large.

The self-ordained, "Politically Astute", are unable to gauge Trump's support beyond the GOP-E. Many of us don't actually support Trump beyond the cleaving he is inflicting upon the GOP Elite, the Dem Elite and the various political hangers-on.

Those who consider themselves prognosticators of the highest order are generally the worst. Especially who believe themselves to be the most ideological pure. Presidents Gore, Kerry, Hunter, Santorum, placed into evidence.

While Trump is technically on the GOP ballot now, he is reaching across party lines and into the field on the NONPOLITICAL, people who, over the years, have just given up on the political process.

There is one thing upon which I can guarantee, Trump WILL be a candidate on the 2016 ballot, whether GOP or not. The GOP will scream like spoiled children and blame Trump for the eventual loss of the Presidency but there will be too many witnesses to history.

I don’t support Carson, I support Cruz. I know Cruz is a conservative through and through, so I don’t have to worry about my candidate having held extreme liberal positions, contributing to the likes of Nancy Pelosi, etc.

That is highly unlikely. That you think you can guarantee it shows you are probably not very politically learned.

Trump doesn't like losing. The man won't even last past Iowa and NH if it looks like he wouldn't win the GOP nomination - and he knows he won't win as a 3rd party.

Sure, some Trump cultist meatheads may write him in, but we get that kind of silly nonsense every election cycle.

I'm so glad I ran away from home at 17 when I lived in Iowa and left the state.

Idiots Out Walking Around. That's what they are there.

That's what Bernie Sanders supporters say too. They point to his huge rallies. Unfortunately what you, and the Sanders supporters, don't understand is that big rallies measure intensity - not support. Intensity is good, but Ron Paul and Ralph Nader had that and it didn't help them one bit. Bernie is not going to defeat Hillary for the Dem nomination even though he has much, much bigger rallies. Trump is not likely to be the GOP nominee, even though he does command the biggest rallies at this time.

************************************************************

The GOPee has done nothing but hit Trump since he has announced....they want their poster child Bush, even tho America says ‘NO more Bushes’ they just keep hitting...and now the Club for Growth is backing them on ads against Trump, IMHO, the ONLY way Carson got ahead of Trump in Iowa, but the thing people don't understand, Trump has a lot of RICH friends and the GOPee can spend all their money trying to take Trump down, but Trump will win...

I would like to see Cruz, right now, take McConnell's gavel away from him and bring the Senate under control, that's why we voted for a Republican Senate and all they are doing is kissing obuma’s butt....then the next election, Cruz could breeze into the Oval Office...

If Trump wins the GOP nomination we can expect him to take about 25% of the vote in the general election.

I don't know who "we" are but I'd like a piece of that action. How about 2:1?

“How exactly, with detail please, is the GOPee (is it double “e” now to really emphasize establishment) using Carson?”

Not saying that Dr. Carson is in any way an accomplice of the GOP-e; however, the “Long Knives” of the Club for Growth are slashing away in the background and there is little doubt that Dr. Carson is benefiting from their perfidy:

For anyone accusing you of being a wild-eyed Trumpeteer with cult-like blind devotion you just listed some very cogent reasons why you support Trump.
That was an impressive post to read.
