Election '16: Donald Trump charges that President George W. Bush "knew in advance" of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks. Promoting the Obama birther conspiracy was bad enough, but this is beyond the pale.
There may not be a historical precedent to a major presidential candidate accusing his own party's last president of knowingly allowing an enemy to attack America, killing thousands. Negligence bordering on treason: This is the charge Donald Trump is making against George W. Bush.
Trump told CNN on Tuesday, "George Tenet, the CIA Director, knew in advance that there would be an attack, and he said so to the president."

What makes people lie? Maybe Trump's new tax plan?
Tommy Tancredo still is proven to be right time after time.

Trump said it happened on Bush's watch and that the CIA and other intelligence agencies were picking up "chatter". They knew something was going to happen.
Those with a memory longer than this primary season, will recall the 9-11 report specifically said that the intelligence community knew something was up, they didn't know when or where. After releasing the report, commission chair Thomas Kean declared that both Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush were "not well served" by the FBI and CIA.
Pure BS and you know it. Trump never said this.
Lol....author unknown. I can see why.
That we would hold these sites in escrow as it were, while asking, “Who’s next?”
I dispute your interpretation of them.
That's obvious, but you do not support your "dispute" with evidence.
Medea Benjamin wil be Trump’s Secretary of State. And Kos will be his chief of staff.
Bush admitted it? I never heard that. Why isn’t he in jail?
I'm starting to think that Trump is a political stuxnet virus, engineered to wreak havoc on previously healthy conservative operating systems.
I wouldn’t expect a President of the United States to lose his composure at the moment he receives bad news, especially in the presence of schoolchildren. All too often, people’s expectations of others in certain positions are unrealistic; probably due to the assumption that everyone should always feel the same as everyone else, all of the time. What are they thinking??? “If I was President at a time like that I would have broke down and cried or been visibly angry or appeared to be fearful...” when they’re just ignorant of the facts and could never in their lives know what it would’ve been like to have been the President of the United States at a time like 9/11/2001.
huh?
What evidence? There is no evidence other than the words you write. They lack a coherent connection to the facts. As I pointed out.
Trump's focus was on building profitable buildings in 1999. In 2001, "W's" focus should have been on keeping Americans safe. If given the enormous difference in their personal focuses, Trump was more aware of a clear present danger on Bush's watch; that is worth noting.
I like Trump but he is trying to make hay in the wrong field.
Men holding hands, as in your picture is offensive to me, also. But protecting friendly foreigners from potential hysteria was one of the more statesmanlike actions of Bush II. I have condemned him for enough things. I will not kick him when he is down, just to pile on.
IOW, you deny that the Bush administration was warned multiple times of an imminent attack. That's you just being uninformed though.
bin Laden was a Saudi as were the majority of others involved in the 9/11 attacks. They are barbarian islamists who are very heavily involved in mosque construction and university underwriting in this country.
If you don’t know anything about wahabbism, I think you should investigate it at even the elementary level, and I would expect that as a true American, you would be appaled.
