Former Virginia senator Jim Webb announced Tuesday afternoon that he would no longer pursue the Democratic presidential nomination, telling reporters that instead he will gauge support in the coming weeks for a possible White House bid as an independent candidate.
"More people in this country call themselves political independents than Republicans or Democrats. I happen to agree with them," Webb told reporters at a news conference at the National Press Club in Washington.
He exists.
John Nolte on Twitter thinks this is bad for Trump. I disagree. Webb as a third party might draw a few Trump voters, but not enough to matter. He would siphon some from Hillary or Biden, none from Bernieosaurus.
He is right about one thing, anyone who can think cannot be a democrap or republican and vote for any of these turds they are pushing.
I wouldn’t trust the guy.

Nobody- even somebody answering “trump” in a republican poll (even if only to piss off Jeb! RINO’s) - would actually vote for Webb.
If asked by a pollster or interviewer, I’d answer “Trump” or Carson right now just to screw with Rowe and Jeb! democrat press corpse.
While voting in the primary, I’d prefer Cruz.
