During an appearance on CNNs Reliable Sources Sunday, veteran journalist Carl Bernstein trashed the Benghazi committee ahead of Hillary Clintons testimony and insisted the Democrat will murder them because it has been a witch hunt. It has been partisan. It's great opportunity for her.
Bernstein also praised Clintons debate performance as her greatest moment in this campaign which has been a disaster for her up until the debate but ultimately admitted I don't think that a reset button was successfully hit. We're still back to these basic questions about her truthfulness about the server, the foundation, about the FBI investigation.

Well, she’s already murdered those in Benghazi, so...
It seems that Mr. McCarthy opened the barn door for the witch hunt gremlins.
IMHO
He seems to like that word when referring to Republicans.
IMHO
Like the Watergate Committee? Like John Doar's House committee that Hillary worked for (and got fired from, for ethical lapses)?
Dick Nixon said these same things about Woodstein, the Sam Ervin Watergate Committee, and the House impeachment drive, and with more truth.
At the WaPo, he survived (he was in the outplacement queue when Watergate showed up) by attaching himself to Bob Woodward, who did most of the work.
Bernstein, at his best, is a barnacle.
It always seemed to me he was residing in Woodward’s shadow. That doesn’t mean much, because Woodward himself was quite the fraud IMO.
I once heard him say that Clinton’s wrongdoings didn’t even come close to approaching the wrongdoing of Nixon.
Clinton was a common crook. He was an abuser of women, his staff, his friends, the state, and his wife and daughter.
At some level, he broke just about every law there was. Either he or someone supporting him did.
Bernstein is no Woodward. He is a hack, with an agenda first, and has never written anything that wasn’t partisan.
Not to say that Woodward doesn’t have his biases, but he generally appears to (try to) hold them in check.
A shame that Bernstein chose to see and make Nixon/Watergate into a Republican problem for the rest of his career(?) rather than be a true searchlight for truth against all corrupt institutions regardless of their affiliations.
