A viral photo of Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is making its way across social media, quoting the real estate mogul as saying that if he runs for president one day, hell run as a Republican presidential candidate because Republican voters are dumb. Yet, the meme has been proven false.
Snopes reports that the alleged quote supposedly happened during a 1998 interview between Trump and People magazine. The meme, created anonymously, quotes Trump as saying the following.

Hell...Hillary calls us terrorists...
Message from Cruz To Trump.
YOU’RE FIRED!
Anyone volunteering to assist in securing our violent never ending lawless borders, at their own expense, will be declared vigilantes!
Anyone volunteering to assist in securing our violent never ending lawless borders during war time, at their own expense, will be declared vigilantes!
Cruz can’t get enough support to fire anyone. LOL
All else has failed, so here come the shameless lies to discredit Donald Trump.
I’m just wondering why they haven’t pulled out the illegal hotel worker yet who will say with a tear in her eye that she was repeatedly raped and assaulted but never had the courage to say anything until now.
Gloria Allred is the attorney of course.
Hey bob denard, simple question:
Is it a smart thing for a Republican President to encourage, ignore and or aid and abet tens of millions to enter the United States illegally, from God knows where, during war time?
“Donald Trump is making its way across social media, quoting the real estate mogul as saying that if he runs for president one day, hell run as a Republican presidential candidate because Republican voters are dumb. Yet, the meme has been proven false.”
Herr Donnie Trumpeter may not have said that, but the premise that “republicans are dumb” is proving to be somewhat true. A great many “republicans” are - in a cult of personality - fanatically supporting Herr Trump. So, it must be true that “republicans are dumb” because only the really dumb, deluded, or naïve would support this dangerous man. They get together in crowds and shout “sieg heil” and “heil Trump” like their Nazi counterparts of the 1930s.
If anyone takes exception to this...too bad. I’m just using the same type of rhetoric and tactics that Herr Donnie Trumpeter uses. IF you think it is acceptable for him, then you have to let others have the same latitude. At least for now, this is still a constitutional republic with freedom of speech. If Herr Trump can be obnoxious, then others can as well.
Good people, there are other choices on the GOP ticket that are better than Trump. Trump IS NOT a conservative.
The sophistry I read here about Trump being the only one that can win is scary. You may as well be screaming “sieg heil” (hail victory?) Trump being president...even IF he could win in a general election...is NOT a real victory.
“...Yet, after browsing through Peoples online archives,
there is no indication anywhere that Trump actually made the above quote.
In fact, no interview at all exists between Trump and People
in which he talks about running for president one day...”
Dennis Prager calls Republicans the “stupid” party while Democrats are “evil” and “dangerous”.
so people mag doesn’t want to take credit for the lie?
Your posts have gone from insulting Trump to insulting the vast majority of FReepers who like him. Now you’re comparing us to Nazis, which proves you have lost the argument. Just go away, a-hole.
Trump should use it next time he confronts the Bush dynasty. It's time Trump really take off the gloves and tell it like it is regarding the Bush clan.
Btw, maybe Bob Denard could provide us with a direct link or evidence of this "Rumor".
Message from Trump to Cruz, you are the one who wants my voters because you said they are dumb and will vote for me.
The truth hurts.
I don’t back a person who has no chance to win. He may be my second or third. In that case, I won’t plan on a win.
He is not declaring he is a conservative. He is declaring he is a leader who wants to address the same issues that most conservatives want addressed that the establishment self described “conservatives” never will.
It is not any more complicated than that. Trying to make it so only shows you to be disingenuous at best. Caterwauling does not suit you.
Snopes reports that the alleged quote supposedly happened during a 1998 interview between Trump and People magazine.IOW, Media Matters, Daily Kos, Huffpo, or some other Demwit agitprop machine generated it.
Btw, this is another baseless hit piece, right out of the Bush dynasty play book.
Trump would never say Americans or Republican voters are dumb
He just wouldn’t
