Donald Trump said early Friday morning that CNBC has agreed to a two-hour presidential debate, as he and Ben Carson had demanded. Trump, who holds the No. 1 spot in GOP polls, and Carson, the runner-up, had both told debate host CNBC they would boycott the Oct. 28 faceoff if it is longer than 120 minutes including commercials. They also asked for opening and closing statements.

Who wouldn’t want to watch 3 hours of questions to Trump about how he hates women? /sarc

I’m glad Trump and Carson forced CNBC to change the format. Three frikken hours of Q&A among 11 candidates is an affront to everyone viewing, and the candidates themselves.

I also hope the particpants refuse to stand for any more schoolyard ‘gotcha’ questions and instigating from the moderators. First sign of any of that bs, I want to see Trump lay waste to whatever fool of a ‘moderator’ commits that error.

Well, say what you want about Trump, but he has more guts than the entire GOP establishment put together.

And he gets what he wants.

I’ve always been perplexed by how the GOP lets themselves be repeatedly set up and knocked down by the by the media and never even try to fight back. Especially at debates.

And here’s Trump calling the shots like a boss.

Trump gets one of the biggest media conglomerates to bend to his will in under 48 hours with no return concessions.

But he’s a terrible negotiator.

I’m starting to like this guy.

They should take out the human moderators and replace them with robots who would announce the issue (like immigration, or the middle east) and then let the candidates each have exactly the same amount of time to respond.

I've been thinking of a format along the same lines. One that took the establishment mouthpieces out of it. Maybe something like a round table discussion. Something along those lines.

A three hour bash fest against Trump with biased questions has been dull to see. It turned into a attack against him with Carly Fiorina leading the way.

I disagree. I think we got to see these people as they really are, and it was worth it. To me, anyway.
