Another validation of God’s position. People choose homosexuality, it is unnatural, and it is bad for their physical and mental health.

It’s called a lifestyle choice.

Gays should be happy because if we ever were to find a ‘gay’ gene, it would mean that it a genetic defect. Like Downs. And we all know what liberals do to those with genetic defects. They want them killed/aborted to ease the ‘strain’ on society.

Of course not!

We know two sets of identical twins - did I say identical, yes. One twin is gay in each pair, the other is NOT!! One twin only "realized he was gay when he moved to Hollywierd."

If there were such a thing as a "gay gene" both sets of identical twins would carry it and both be "gay!"

I may get flamed, but............

Nobody really knows what causes homosexuality.

Some “lesbians” are very mannish in their appearance. It goes beyond the buzz cut hair cuts and flannel shirts worn by some. The shape and bone structure of their faces resembles the shape and bone structure of men’s faces.

Has anyone else ever noticed this? Anyone else ever seen a “lesbian” from a distance, assumed it was a man, then you get closer and you see that it’s really a mannish looking female???

What I’m getting at, is that could there be some physiological component to homosexuality???

Flame away..............

There doesn’t need to be a gene for someone to have a preference.

My brother and I both grew up in a very conservative, Southern Baptist household. We had the same experiences and are just a year apart.

We’re both adopted, though, and both very different than our parents. My brother grew up to be gay. I grew up to not like cheerleader types but instead prefer artistic or musician type women. We all have our preferences. His towards liking men are as innate as mine are for liking women. We’ve both known from a young age that was the case.

There is a ton of homosexual hatred and delusion about what it is to be homosexual on this site. Yes there are the outspoken idiots who make the news. There is also Westboro Baptist, but they aren’t typical of Christians.

You’d never know my brother was gay if he didn’t tell you. You’d never know what kinds of things I like to do in the bedroom unless I told you. He’s single and has been for more than fifteen years because he is busy being a professor of music theory and doesn’t really have time to find someone.

This has been admitted as a tactic by the ‘Gay Lobby’ lawyers to treat homosexuality as a ‘Right’.

Most gay men admit to being sexually assaulted as a child. That alone may be enough to cause trauma to the brain, but I digress...

This article is all wrong.

There is plenty of scientific evidence of gay jeans out there.

Easiest way to disprove the’gay gene’ theory:
Identical twins.
If one is gay and the other not, it is therefore not genetic, but a lifestyle choice.

Ryan Sorba has been investigating this stuff for years. He has videos of people in gay bars admitting to being raped as a child (almost everyone he talked to).

I am not at all surprised to learn of research confirming what I have always felt to be the case. I have a Masters degree in Biology and have been teaching Biology and Medical Laboratory Technology for over 30 years and the concept that homosexuality could be completely genetic has never made sense to me from a biological standpoint. Up until recently when technology made it possible, a strictly gay man and lesbian woman could not produce a child together that would pass on such a gene if one were required to be gay. In order for a gene to persist in the population, it must be passed on to the offspring. If not, the gene will die out.

I do agree with other posters that some inherited traits can make a female appear more "mannish" or a male appear more feminine, but genes are only the potential of an individual. The environment to which the person with those genes is exposed plays a major role in determining the eventual outcome.

Never figured out why my two nephews turned out homo. Yes my sister is a raving moonbat and BIL was a lush that hung out in bars late after work, but the kids were not abused AFAIK.

Even if there is some sort of genetic pre-disposition towards homosexuality, that does not make it right, no more than a genetic predisposition to anger, sexual license, theft, alcoholism, or drug abuse makes those things right.

There is likely no indication of a gene causing any of a vast number of congenital problems.

“Birth defects may be the result of genetic or environmental factors. This includes errors of morphogenesis, infection, epigenetic modifications on a parental germline, or a chromosomal abnormality.

“Animal studies indicate that the mother’s (and likely the father’s) diet, vitamin intake, and glucose levels prior to ovulation and conception have long-term effects on fetal growth and adolescent and adult disease. Animal studies have shown that paternal exposures prior to conception and during pregnancy result in increased risk of certain birth defects and cancers. This research suggests that paternal food deprivation, germ line mutations, alcohol use, chemical mutagens, age, smoking habits and epigenetic alterations can affect birth outcomes.”

There is No Evidence of a Gay Gene, According to New Study

Because in their hearts, the left knows: The first thing a lefty couple not fully engaged with the destruction of our nation will ask is "Is it gay" and get an abortion if they are.

The whole issue of a “gay gene” is meaningless. Whether same-sex attraction is caused by a gene, or hormones, or trauma, or targeted radiation beams from flying saucers makes absolutely no difference.

What the Catholic Church teaches—and all Christians once believed—is that all deliberate seeking of venereal pleasure is grave matter, except in mutual acts between husband and wife which are in themselves capable of transmitting life.

Those who insist that the issue is that “people choose homosexuality”—IF they mean that people with same-sex attraction choose to have same-sex attraction—are creating a distraction, and undermining Christian moral teaching.

Because: Those who HAVE same-sex attraction know that such people are fools. If Christian moral teaching DEPENDS on the notion that SSA is CHOSEN, then those who know they DID NOT CHOOSE IT are perfectly entitled to reject Christian moral teaching. In fact, that is a principal reason that so many DO reject Christian moral teaching—because they THINK the Christian view is that they chose to have SSA.
