We invested in our schools to give at-risk young people a better shot to succeed.Interesting choice of words.
Bottom Line:
More criminal yutes on a street near you.

Obama: 'Much of our criminal justice system remains unfair' He's right. Far too many criminals get off without receiving nearly enough punishment. Very unfair to the law abiding citizens.
Far too many get off without receiving any punishment because of legal technicalities and bullsh*t.
Again, very unfair to the law abiding citizens.

We invested in our schools to give at-risk young people a better shot to succeed. The "at risk' young people AND their parents - need to get their acts together because white guilt has limits...

Yes, the fact that people are in prison for much less than what 0bama has done is unfair indeed.

Obama: 'Much of our criminal justice system remains unfair' That's because it's based on the concept of "truth," Mr. Obama.

Yes, O’Venal is right, at least with that ONE comment. It IS unfair that so many at the top of the political system in MANY countries remain free, rather than in jail or the gas chamber. ValJar should have chosen O’Venal’s words more carefully!
To: PROCON
So what he’s saying is no prison for non-violent crimes, right?
To: jjotto
I read this morning that was reversed. Prisoners don’t want bacon. I call BS on that one.

But over the last few decades, weve also locked up more non-violent offenders than ever before, for longer than ever before. Thats the real reason our prison population is so high.Bullsht. I grew up in a poor family and about 20 years ago I lost everything in a stupid stock investment at exactly the same time I lost my job which resulted in me getting into massive debt and then being evicted from my apartment after which I lived out of my car for a year. Let me tell you, being unemployed and homeless I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy, but not ONCE did I ever break a law or even think about it, not even shoplifting when I was living on bananas and boiled spaghetti everyday. If someone is in jail, guess whose fault it is? I could give one rats ass if 500k were in 30 years ago or 2.2 million are in jail now. There's a special formula to staying out of jail. It's called DON'T BREAK THE LAW. It's worked wonders for me.
