Bullsht. I grew up in a poor family and about 20 years ago I lost everything in a stupid stock investment at exactly the same time I lost my job which resulted in me getting into massive debt and then being evicted from my apartment after which I lived out of my car for a year. Let me tell you, being unemployed and homeless I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy, but not ONCE did I ever break a law or even think about it, not even shoplifting when I was living on bananas and boiled spaghetti everyday. If someone is in jail, guess whose fault it is? I could give one rats ass if 500k were in 30 years ago or 2.2 million are in jail now. There's a special formula to staying out of jail. It's called DON'T BREAK THE LAW. It's worked wonders for me.
Good on you!
“...not ONCE did I ever break a law...”
Possible but doubtful. I’ve read there are too many laws and we can’t know what they all are and that’s one of the complaints about the justice system; people get in trouble for doing something they had no reasonable way of knowing they’d get in trouble for.
“...or even think about it...”
That’s another thing I’ve read about. For a lot of the laws (especially newer ones) you don’t have to think about breaking the law, you don’t have to have the intent of breaking a law. The act itself is enough whether you knew anything about the law or not.
Unless living out of your car was a crime (badoom tish)
BTW how did you boil the spaghetti. On the exhaust manifold?
How’d you boil spaghetti while living in your car?
