Trump: 9/11 happened on Bush's watch

WASHINGTON (CNN) —Donald Trump implied Friday that former President George W. Bush could share some blame for the September 11, 2001, attack on the World Trade Center, since he was in office at the time.

"When you talk about George Bush, I mean, say what you want, the World Trade Center came down during his time," Trump said Friday morning on Bloomberg TV.

Bloomberg anchor Stephanie Ruhle interjected, "Hold on, you can't blame George Bush for that," before Trump stood by his comments.

"He was president, OK? ... Blame him, or don't blame him, but he was president. The World Trade Center came down during his reign," Trump said.

The comments came in response to a question from Ruhle about Trump's "soft hand." She said the world had seen his strong side, but Bush after 9/11 and President Barack Obama after the Sandy Hook massacre both had to stand in front of America and show a different side of them.

Why not?

We got Bush’s brother running right now who also just happens to be a 100% pro-lawless open borders sellout.

How did ya like Bush allowing more Muslims to enter the U.S. AFTER 911 than the previous two decades before 911?

Petty slick huh?

Their strategy was to unify our country and drive a wedge into the moose limb groups. I think it was working for the first year or so, even though the "religion of peace" statement was calculated as part of the strategy, and very likely not believed.

My own personal belief is the fault for all of this falling apart lies at the feet of the traitorcrats when they politicized the war and blew apart any unity that we had. They purposefully took W down (see "Rockefeller memo"), any way they could.

Now, I'm not suggesting W wasn't stupid in all of this, because he was. He allowed them do do so in order to keep his pledge of the "new tone". That was a horrible miscalculation, not knowing how evil our traitorcrats are.

By not fighting them the way he should, they drove him, along with anyone right of center into the dust. I think that was his big (huge) mistake, not the attempt to drive that wedge into the Islamic world.

Had he not gotten the traitorcrat/media complex doing what they did, he would have likely been able to take Iran out without firing a shot, as well as starting something new in Iraq.

At that point, the strong horse would have been us, and NOT radical Islam.

My 2 cents.

If you’re still supporting Trump after this, then you’re worse than even the most wild-eyed moonbat. Because only wild-eyed moonbats blame GWB for 9/11.

I disagree. I don’t think we should be looking backwards like this - unless it’s to ruin Clinton.

Yes, and like Clinton said, lets not go there, lets just forget about the emails and things like Benghazi. Lets move on.

It’s good for you, it’s good for them too right missy?

The first hijackers to arrive in the U.S., al-Mihdhar and al-Hazmi, came in January 2000, followed by Atta, al-Shehhi, and Jarrah in mid-2000. Hanjour, arrived in December 2000.

George W. Bush wasn’t even inaugurated until January, 2001.

But don’t let facts get in the way of moonbattery.

Why start an argument? I just said unless it’s designed to RUIN Hillary. Did you not read this in your obsessive need to respond to everyone on this thread? Use it all to destroy Clinton but Bush is out of office and I don’t see any point in going on about his misdeeds.

No one is to blame for anything. Just blame the guys before you...It's simple. They all do it. No problem.

After 911 our borders were an epic national security breach and risk, and still are. No?...But it wasn't Bush's fault because the borders were totally violent and lawless before he took office right? Right? Right? After 911 Bush welcoming in more Muslims after 911 than the previous two decades before, was not his fault either right? Bush creating massive new government agencies to go along with his "Compassionate war" was not his fault either, right?

Btw, do ya think our dead and maimed think of Bush's Iraq war as being compassionate? Gak!~

Let it be noted that you were UNABLE to address the question in my post #56, which is reproduced for your benefit here:

I don't believe GWB had anything to do with that, however it would be nice if you could explain why #43 went to such extreme efforts to fly his Saudi friends OUT of the country after 9/11 took place, without benefit of any FBI interviews or screening, how about that?
Take your time.

You've been around long enough to have learned to stay on topic unless you have some sort of intellectual deficit that defaults to lame, irrelevant and immaterial comments.

You want to talk about the "real world"?

In THIS real world (the one we all inhabit), the fact is, GWB DID go out of his way to assure that his Saudi friends were whisked out of the country post-9/11, as author Alexander Bolton described:

"Earlier in the day, September 13, 2001, the FAA "issued a notice that private aviation was banned and that three private planes that had violated the ban had been forced to land by military aircraft," according to an article published in Vanity Fair.

On the afternoon of September 13, 2001, "three Saudi men in their early 20s flew in a Lear jet from Tampa, Fla., to Lexington, Ky., where they boarded a Boeing 747 with Arabic writing on it waiting to take them out of the country."

The flight from Tampa to Lexington, first reported October 2001 in the Tampa Tribune, "was one of several flights that Saudi Arabian citizens took in the immediate aftermath of September 11, 2001 when the rest of the country was prohibited from flying.""

"Many of the Saudis were members of the Saudi royal family or the bin Laden family."

The New York Times "reported that bin Laden family members were driven or flown under FBI supervision to a secret meeting in Texas and then to Washington, from where they left the country when airports were allowed to open Sept. 14, 2001."

Bolton concluded that "close to 140 Saudis left the U.S. days after the attacks, even though 15 of the 19 terrorists who carried out the Sept. 11 attacks were Saudi Arabian."

Ok, woofie, time to put up or shut up.

Here is the explanation you want:

GW Bush is actually an Arab but is deep under cover....After he finished with the WTC deal he had to get his friends (and some of them were relatives!) out of the country so before you could say boo he was on the phone to Rumsfeld and Cheney an of course Karl Rove and they formed a car pool to deal with the problem

No, I want you to explain why GWB permitted the events described in my post #95 to take place.

Quit with the foolish adolescent responses, address the issues and stay on topic.

I “blame” 911 on the lack of strong cockpit doors in the airliners. Actually, it was an innocent oversight, because who’d think someone would hijack a plane and then crash it?

Then again it could be that after 9/11 the President , the Defense department and everybody I can think of thought all hell had broken loose and this was the beginning of WW3 (and in some ways it was)

I can’t tell you who is who, but many rich Saudis have diplomatic imunity.
In effect the state Departments treats them like they are countries unto themselves.
My bet is that whatever happened right after 9/11 the State Department was in charge and I doubt Bush knew anything about it ....He was a little busy.
