The latest nightly tracking conducted by Nanos Research for CTV and The Globe and Mail shows the Liberals have hit an election-high level of support among voters, largely at the expense of the NDP.

The nightly tracking is based on a rolling average of 1,200 voters polled on October 11, 13 and 14, 2015. The numbers released Oct. 15 show:

. the Liberals at 37.1 per cent support . the Conservatives at 29.4 per cent support . the NDP at 23.7 per cent support . the Green Party at 4.3 percent support . the Bloc Quebecois at 5 per cent support

One month ago, it was practically a three-way tie between the major parties in the federal election. In the past 30 days the Liberals have gained about seven points of support--from 29.6 per cent to 37.1 per cent.

Most of that gain has come at the expense of the NDP, which has since its support drop about six points, from 30.4 per cent to 23.7 per cent.

The Conservatives, meanwhile have remained relatively unchanged, with their support dropping slightly from 31.0 per cent to 29.4 percent.....

If this polling data holds on Monday, Justin Trudeau, the son of the famous-infamous former Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau will be in his father's shoes, so to speak.

The Liberals will have at least a minority government and be the leading party in the House of Commons with somewhere around 140 seats. They could opt for a majority in coalition with the NDP.

The Conservatives will be around 115-120 seats with the NDP around 75-80 seats.

Conservative Prime Minister Stephen Harper is continuing to fight with his party pushing some anti-Trudeau messages into Canada's Asian ethnic communities attacking his social liberalism associating Trudeau with legalized pot and brothels.

Also, Harper will appear at a rally in Toronto with former mayor, now city councilman Rob Ford and his brother Doug Ford.

A new tracking poll is out within the next few hours.

I don’t have a clue as to why Harper might be in trouble. He’s been the best Prime Minister this country has had since 1950.

Harper’s been great. This is terrible.

Canada must have as many low information voters as we do. The “free stuff” Party will win every time.

This would be a worse disaster than Obama.

That’s not an exaggeration! This guy has zero abilities, and is literally like electing a middle-aged man that is still 16 mentally to lead your nation!

I can see if Canadians wanted to switch parties in power and chose the NDP. But the Liberals??????

Last I checked, Liberals were nuts, but the NDP were virtual Commies.

It is a choose between Lenin and Stalin. Add in the Greens and you also can chose Trotsky.

The margin of error for 1,102 decided voters is ±3.0 percentage points, 19 times out of 20.

Keep some perspective here. These are eligible voters, which just means all voters, so many won’t go to the polls. GOTV is critical, as is watching for fraud which this may be setting up.

Harper will win, but he may lose his majority government.

I saw signs of trouble earlier this year when the Alberta government in the heartland of Canadian conservatism switched from Conservative to NDP. In the US, that would be like Utah electing Bernie Sanders as governor.

That was more of a combination of events than Albertans abandoning their small-c conservatism. Basically, it came down to the PC party not acting as a conservative party for the last 15 years and a split between the CINO’s and real conservatives, which allowed the NDP to walk up the middle.

Albertans still voted for a conservative party 53%.

Harper has not been great (C-51 curtails so (any freedoms in the name of security) but he is the least bad if the three party leaders. In the hands of the socialists (Liberals, NDP), this law could be turned on those with legal, but different political views.

Young Trudeau has his mother’s intelligence and his father’s arrogance; not a good combination and exactly opposite to what would be good traits to inherit. Mulcair is a Québécois communist.

If Trudeau gets in, combined with the NDP government in Alberta, it will make the ‘80s in Alberta look like the ‘good old days’!

Since my free trial of NHL Center Ice kicked in I have been noticing that the Conservative Party’s ads are just gawd-awful. They make Jeb Bush seem exciting by comparison. Trudeau by comparison looks hip, fresh, exciting.

Memo to Conservatives around the globe: DO NOT HIRE KARL ROVE!!!!!

Apparently far-left voters have decided that sticking a knife in Harper’s back would be more satisfying than staying with their true love, the NDP.

Once again, the media lies. They choose the worst possible poll (Eligible voters) to give liberals the best chance.
