January 2017...tick-tock...
Is the Church in a properly zoned area?
Were they already there for a long time without complaints and were these only recent?
Is some resident upset they moved near a Church? Then why did they buy where they did?
This is like someone moving next to an airport knowing it was there and then saying the noise needs to go.
oh my...wait till the adhan horns start...
“Pastors are also thinking about organizing outdoor services throughout Oakland so everyone can enjoy the joyful noise that much more. “
Yes most definitely an assault on Christianity flamed by the LBGT radicals and their supporters who are too stupid to realize the troubles they are unleashing upon the world.
“this activity (choir practice) may constitute a public nuisance due to its impact to the use and quiet enjoyment of the surrounding communitys property. “
Try claiming that when the bass from all the cars in the neighborhood driving by your house actually shake things off the walls or rattle items on shelves (this happens from roughly 100 feet away). The ordinance in my neck of the woods clearly states if you can hear it from 50 feet away or further it’s too loud.
There doesn’t seem to be any sense of urgency about certain people making noise that hinders quiet enjoyment of a given community.
Oakland borders Berkeley and is maybe having its effect.
Would bet this Oakland Baptist Church has some seriously excellent music.
Would the same letter be sent if this was a mosque & the complaint was about the call to prayer?
Eff 'em ...
What sort of nitwit files a complaint about church singing? What’s next, complaining about church bells? (I know. Somewhere, someone has already complained about that too.)
I remember, way back when, living in the city. I would walk by a Baptist church on my way from the subway to my apartment. It was always a joy when I would walk by and hear choir practice.
Looks like they’ve got ‘Black Lives Matter’ on their side.

What about the call to prayer 5 times a day by Mosques? Is that going to be banned?
But Christian choir practice, not so much.

Our church rented out to a Spanish church on Sunday afternoons. They turned up the amplifiers so loud we got complants from neighbors. Churches need to quit confusing volume for spirituallity.
But profanity laden foul rap music is protected.
...but the Muslim call to prayer is the most beautiful sound in the world...
Soon, it will be banned and illegal to walk around with a smile on your face. This is beyond the bounds and WTP should do whatever it may take to put a stop to the practice. Meanwhile, back in our Oval Office...they continue to search for the one ‘legacy’ which might even be successful.quack quack quack
Watching this story on Fox now. I am outraged! What about mosques and their caterwauling?
This is outrageous and everyone should write to these idiots and tell them what you think!
