I'm sure I wasn't the only one, but I asked Rush to give Freeper Buckhead credit and he just did! (Called him Burkhead! Oh well!)

I’m happy to say I was on FR that night and watched it unfold live :-)
You know we also broke the blue dress story. I knew where Drudge staged his articles. He put the redlight up so I went to his staged article and then put it in FR. We didn’t really work the story, but we did scoop Drudge’s story. Of course after that Drudge stopped staging his articles that way :-)

El Rushbo correctly credited FReeper Buckhead for busting Rathergate. Most media talking heads incorrectly credit the Powerline blog. And the guy who runs Powerline (I forget his name) very happily accepts the "credit", by the way.
So far I've only heard three people in the media give the correct credit to Buckhead and Free Republic: Rush Limbaugh, Brit Hume (Fox News) and Boston-based conservative talk radio host Howie Carr (WRKO).

"And how did it come up at this time?"That is what I have asked on the several threads posted and so far no one has answered. I only caught the last part where Rush attributed it to Buckhead and Freerepublic, but I missed what led up to that.

IIRC, there is a movie coming up about Rather. I think Rush mentioned it yesterday and gave credit to Powerline. FReeper corrected him today and he aired it.....I think
