**SNIP**

"I was like, 'I've had it,'" she said. "I said to my husband, 'I've got to do something. This is the one thing that I need to say something about. This is my responsibility as a parent.'"

The actress said she went through her address book alphabetically to ask who wanted to be involved.

The 80 Hollywood stars have signed a pledge that reads: "By signing our names to this statement, we commit to use our creativity and visibility in the months ahead to help drive real change.

"While these are just the first steps, we pledge to use our voices wherever and whenever we can, doing our part to help mobilise more Americans to help save lives from gun violence."

Members of the council will invite their fans to get involved and participating in Everytown events, including brainstorming new approaches to grow the gun violence prevention movement.

“Don’t you know that good looks and acting ability (many times NOT) gives you the expertise to impose your beliefs in every area of life? /s”

Hollywood is Washington DC for the stupid. Washington DC is Hollywood for the homely! ;)

I imagine for someone like James Woods or Adam Baldwin, living among the Hollyweirdos must seem like a scene from “Invasion of the Body Snatchers” where the beleaguered humans have to hide their true feelings for fear of being outed to the Pod People.

Moore is also in fashion magazines all the time, so she has the platform to (hmmn) influence in this matter to women who read Glamour, InStyle, etc.

I scan my magazines to see if Michelle My Belle is in it (often) and tear her picture out. Dabbie Wasserman Schultz has been featured sans the greasy jeri-curl.

I suspect all of this is somehow backed by the Democratic Party. Seems to me Julianne went overboard on her portrayal of Sarah Palin and can’t get her head right. Once again someone espouses an opinion, gets a group of mindless actors to agree, arranges publicity of same, but doesn’t have a clue about how to do it. Look for the solution to be ban guns. Nowhere will she address violence in projects, violence as a result of immigration, the welfare system which promotes violence by giving young people too much idle time, a lack of jobs, cultural norms, etc. It’s time to stop blaming inanimate objects and get to the real causes.
