China said on Wednesday it had no plans to send military ships to Syria to fight with Russian forces after reports in overseas media that it was planning to do so.
Chinese media has picked up Russian and Middle Eastern news reports that China would fight alongside Russia in Syria, and that China's sole aircraft carrier, the Liaoning, could participate too.
Chinese media has also described these reports as speculative nonsense.
Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying, when asked if China had or would send forces to Syria, told a daily news briefing that she had also noticed the reports.
"I can tell you that as for China's warships, for example the Liaoning, whether it has gone to join, for this issue, as far as I know, there is no such plan. At this time the Liaoning is in a phase of carrying out technical training and military exercises."

I said then: nonsense.
The Russians don’t need any help.
Military ships? I thought ships used for combat were called warships.
i was kind of skeptical. there is nothing to gain as it is not their fight and they are too busy building face islands to drill for oil.
but on to something MUCH MORE important.
fiance locked closet door somehow. no key,
CC, paper clip, screwdriver, butter knife, nothing worked, looks like it goes in deep, the lock,
have no idea how to take off hinges. nothing to unscrew,
help.
Hinge pins must be on your side, so take a nail and drive the hinge pins up and out, from the bottom.
Of course not, why would they tip their hand before they’re ready?
aside from 10,000 Iranian troops, an Unknown number of Hezbollah, and now Cubans?
I thought Debka said the Chinese aircraft carrier was already there?
it looks so thick!! can the “pin” be like a quarter or more of an inch thick?
is that the pin?
seems old and rusty. should i put anything on it,.
Communist Governments are not required to tell the Truth ,Oh wait what kind of Government does the US have again
I was not aware that Debka was the mouthpiece of a Communist government.
“They got their eye on the South China Sea... “
And now they are looking at their back door. ISIS is a virus and once they breach Russian soil, if they go east, China is screwed.
No reason for them to do so.
BS. Chinese forces are already there. I do suspect that they will keep a low profile for the time being, but that the Chinese will from time to time fly missions into Syria to supply Assad, drop in advisers, and occasionally drop bombs on ISIL targets in Iraq and Syria.
