Looking back on her feud with Donald Trump, Fox News host Megyn Kelly said shes learned that we may have overestimated his anger management skills. The primetime cable news anchor ended up on the receiving end of Trumps ire after the first Republican presidential debate back in August. At the start of that event, Kelly a moderator, quoted some of the GOP frontrunners most disparaging comments about women and asked if those remarks would cripple him in the general election. After the debate, Trump launched a series of personal attacks at Kelly, while she, for the most part, declined to engage. Speaking at Fortunes Most Powerful Women summit in Washington, D.C., Kelly explained both her question and how she responded to the fallout. The reason I asked that was not a comment on Megyn Kelly, she said. It was a comment on his electability, and what hes likely to hear from Hillary Clinton should he be the nominee, and youre already hearing that from Hillary Clinton. Thats what I get paid to do: anticipate the candidates weaknesses and poke em. Thats our job, and it does require a certain amount of fearlessness
But its not like I was looking to make an example out of Donald Trump. Kelly said the first round of questions that the Fox News moderators posed to the candidates during the debate all followed the same electability theme behind the question to Trump. No one was given a pass, she said. And as Trump turned to Twitter and interviews with other outlets to attack Kelly, she decided it was better to take the high road. It did not behoove any of us to get engaged in a war with a presidential candidate, Kelly said.

Your job is not to ‘poke’ the candidates. It is to have them open up on their plans for the country and how they can achieve them.
She ought to learn her lesson and just shut up. We all know what she is now.
Megyn, never piss off someone who has more money than you have brain cells........
And you sweetie overestimated your own importance and popularity.
Bye.
Yes, now all we need to know is the price.........
Sounds like she’s obsessing about Trump. This was many Trump-events ago!
>> it does require a certain amount of fearlessness
Me Gyn, you’re the perfect, vile... whatever to handle that job.
But just because you loudly *claim* no bias doesn’t make it so.
Translation:
“I thought he’d be a typical GOP lightweight. I didn’t realzie he’d actually fight back.”
The Megan/Trump feud has overshadowed a bigger story which is the fact that both Fox debates were pathetic, the moderators were pathetic, the questions were pathetic, the whole thing was an embarrassment.
I don’t know why year after year the GOP debates are so badly done. Since this one was run by Fox I hoped it would be better and if anything it was worse.
Kelly and Wallace both deserve to be fired for their poor performance.
One America News watch it and say bye bye Faux News!
That's a laugh. Megyn and all the Foxes involved in that debate had been on the low road for two or three weeks before the debate, gloating about all the questions they were coming up with in all the preparatory meetings they'd had. It was a hit job mostly on Trump and their behavior before and after made that clear.
Nobody involved at Fox was taking the high road.
Yep!
I do think she meant “underestimated”
Amen.
She’s starting trouble again.

“Gee... Wish I’d picked on Lindsay Graham instead...”
Bullsh!t. If she wants into the boy clubhouse given the ‘secret knock’ of Affirmative Action.....then she has to ‘play like the boys’. Period. And, yes. I’m a woman.
I will be adding OAN.
