Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson defended his controversial remarks this morning in which he suggested that 6 million Jews would not have been slaughtered if they had easy access to guns.
I think the likelihood of Hitler being able to accomplish his goals would have been greatly diminished if the people had been armed, Carson said on CNN Thursday. Im telling you there is a reason these dictatorial people take guns first."
The Anti-Defamation League condemned the comments, saying in a statement: Ben Carson has a right to his views on gun control, but the notion that Hitlers gun-control policy contributed to the Holocaust is historically inaccurate. The small number of personal firearms available to Germanys Jews in 1938 could in no way have stopped the totalitarian power of the Nazi German state.
Carson called the Anti-Defamation Leagues statement this morning total foolishness.

“The small number of personal firearms available to Germanys Jews in 1938 could in no way have stopped the totalitarian power of the Nazi German state” Huh? Then why did Hitler think it was necessary to confiscate guns from Jews? Hitler must have been a conspiracy theorist and should have realized that the Jews would of course voluntarily in single file march into his gas chambers!
Should also be noted that the “power of the Nazi German state” was brought to ruin by fire power. Who knows what would have happen to the Nazis if Jews had been able to mount counter attacks with firearms. Read the book of Esther! A major consideration is how many lives could have been saved if the Jews had firearms to fight back against being taken to certain death in gas chambers.
“The Bielski partisans later supplemented these arms with captured German weapons, Soviet weapons, and equipment supplied by Soviet partisans”

We had a new guy show up at work - obviously Hispanic - driving a black coup with images of Che plastered all over - he didn’t last long.
If looser gun control laws would have made things harder, why did the NAZIs move to confiscate?
I’ll take my chances. Give me my arms and ammo.
Liberal elites can disarm all the criminal drug dealers in Chicagto - then write a few hundred pounds of new gun control laws...
After a year, we'll look at the ‘Chicago Gun Control Project’ results and see if it should be expanded.
I'm sure it'll work perfectly.../s
.
The ADL has a right to their erroneous views too.
Carson is right on this.
Powerful. The spirit of Israel was born in that ghetto.
Those gut-wrenching pictures typifies what happens to a disarmed people. The communists did it a hundred times more.
Thanks for the ping and the picture.
As my sister mentioned, if slaves had been armed, most likely slavery would’ve been a short-lived period in history.
What needs to be disarmed from the criminal drug dealers is the drugs. How you do that is by controlling our borders, for starters. Then, go after the distributors. Technology will be their undoing.
That meant they had to approach to within an arm's length of their intended target, usually a solitary Nazi soldier, often from behind.
Then, the race was on to get the corpse out of view and strip it of weapons and ammo and anything else that might be useful and escape before detection.
Not work for the faint of heart.
Michael Medved should read this. He was on the air saying what good would a hand gun do against an army. He wouldn’t even debate it and cut short a guy trying to explain it.
Question:
WHY is treacherous Michael Medved on the air?
There are ways to deal with the drug mess... lots of ways. But you’re right controlling the borders is a good start.
The technology of micro miniaturization could track the drugs right down to the point of distribution. Zot! Zer0! Gotcha!
You would here it on the street: “Waaaaaa! The heroin was $10, now it is $3,000!”
Market forces of supply would clean them out.
Good question. He comes on after Rush Limbaugh on the Seattle station. I can only listen for the first half hour then I get ticked off and turn off the computer. He just comes across as a wishy washy moderate.
