Something a bit different this evening as these are all YouTube videos of a venue I really enjoy & hope you will as well. Live from Daryl's house can also be seen on the Palladium channel.
Live from Daryl's House (simply known as Daryl's House, and often abbreviated as LFDH) is an online series that was first created in the fall of 2007. The show features singer/songwriter Daryl Hall performing with his band and various guest artists at his home in Millerton, NY. The show provides a performance space that is an alternative to live concerts and studio sessions for popular artists. This allows the artists to
have fun and be creatively spontaneous. The majority of shows include a segment in which Daryl and the guest artist prepare food from different cuisines for everyone to eat. The food comes from various local restaurants and the chefs of those establishments walk Daryl and guest through the preparation of the food. Live From Daryl's House expanded to broadcast TV but remained unchanged. Hall was quoted by Billboard.com as saying "it's an Internet show that is being shown on television, so I'm not adapting the show at all in any way to be a 'TV' show."

It’s normally prescribed for gout, which I don’t have, but it’s the best thing for my various spinal problems.

ROCKUMENTARY: OCTOBER 10, 1960
It was a presidential election year. A labor and pioneering civil rights supporter from Minnesota; a Texas pol backed by the firm that later became Halliburton; a handsome, womanizing Massachusetts senator with hidden health problems; a reptilian governor of New York; and a California man uncomfortable in his own skin. What a choice!
Cue the Rockumentary theme on Turntable #1!
(This was a backup band at Motown that consisted of the Funk Brothers and pickup musicians from the Detroit Symphony.)
The San Remo Golden Strings: Festival Time
#10: Ferrante & Teicher: Theme from The Apartment
German director Billy Wilder had three huge comedies as the Fifties ended and the Sixties began: Some Like It Hot (1959), wonderfully innocent; The Apartment (1960), a pitch black masterpiece; and 1-2-3 (1961), which topped out James Cagneys career.
Jack Lemmon and Shirley MacLaine were outstanding in The Apartment as star-crossed lovers, but it was Fred MacMurray who walked off with the film, playing a real SOB. MacMurray was at his best playing hard, unsympathetic roles. The movie is an intense emotional trip.
The music for the film was written by Charles Williams, a Brit who had been a major player in the English film scene since the end of World War II. This was his biggest success since his music for a dream sequence in the 1947 British weeper While I Live, which has become known over the years as The Dream of Olwen.

Looks like good stuff coming up. I must be ahead of you in the “Game of Thrones” episodes so I must be careful not to write and spoilers.

Good evening, Maestro!
It has been many a year since I heard that tune - or any Ferrante and Teicher! I had a vinyl album of their hits back in the late 60's. I remember an item from the album notes stating that they would get together after recording sessions or concerts and play Brahms and other greats for their own pleasure. Wold that I could have been a fly on the wall at one of those sessions!
