I agree with those asking “what was Ted supposed to say?” He was asked if he thought he could eventually beat trump based on his (Ted’s) own principles. If he didn’t think he could eventually win, why would he be in the race. Would you want the quarterback of an underdog team to tell an interviewer before the big game “I don’t think we can win today, were just looking to not get beat as bad as other teams.”
Weak.
At least Walker realized it was over and dropped out with dignity. That’s more than one can say for clingers like Teddy boy here, along with Huckabee, Paul, Christie, Santorum, etc.
What was Cruz suppose to say "Yes, Trump is sure to be the nominee, I don't know why the rest of us are running".
This is more of the usual "get the Conservatives fighting among themselves to keep them divided" media tactics of the DC Media machine used so effectively in 2008 and 2012. Don't be foolish enough to fall for it.
If you want to win, stick to making he case FOR your candidate and don't waste time attacking the also ran.
The Donald has an as yet unacknowledged advantage not available to any of the other candidates in the race. He has been a BIG TIME contributor to the campaign of others, and he knows how the reins of obligation steers the agenda of the recipient of this largesse.
And The Donald is probably already well acquainted with every one of the big donors to all the other candidates now in the race. So he already is engaged with any and all of them at some level none of us peons even realize.
There are rules about what they can do with that money. They can use it to pay off campaign debts, they can hold on to it for future campaigns, they can donate it to political parties and charities, or they can give limited amounts to other political campaigns.
Oh please! Don’t fall for the Junk media tactics.

I don’t see where Cruz said that. Can you quote that part? Thanks.
Ted Cruz doesn’t make a lot of mistakes—This is one. Looks like Cruz will not get the nomination now. Lots has to happen between now and February. Ted may well be right but being right and a buck and a half can get you a cup of coffee. He should have said—No one knows who will get the nomination—for all we know a Brokened Convention might select Mittens.
Ya got a politician with some heavy luggage but good on some things. People are sick of that s**t. America wants a leaders which benefits America and Americans 100% of the time. Not 80, 20 or even 90 percent time. 100%! No more political bull shit. Americans are sick of it.
Currently nothing DC does benefits middle America or Americans. They're tired of decline, being screwed and kicked in the teeth with immigration, endless taxes, regulations and government control.
Sick sick sick....Some of these folks will never get it. Their arrogance won't allow it.
I think a lot of those people are too damn busy running around DC trying to hump each other to figure it out...I wish I was joking....
Stop it. You’re embarrassing yourself.
This forum is infested with you trolls.
Take a hike noob. You’ve been identified as a subversive idiot.
Interesting change by Cruz. Maybe his donors had a sit down and said he better change something or he is out.
How dare Ted Cruz think he will win the nomination over Donald Trump!
Cruz:
WE'RE #6! - WE'RE #6! - WE'RE #6! - WE'RE #6! - WE'RE #6! - WE'RE #6!
“My question of Cruz: can he actually win?”
Not unless he can show some real fight against the MSM.
Trump has raised the bar. It will be a tough sell for anyone to switch over the Cruz unless he can show that he can street fight the media and the leftist base.
Simply saying conservative stuff is no longer enough by itself.
Yeah, it’s likely just the press trying to stir #@%^& up for the weekend.
As I said in the first thread on this:
Some of these posts are breaking my heart. I never though I would see this here -DU maybe (see below posts)
Cruz is fighting for dead last. He needs to drop out, quickly. Freepers go mad, but hes a dud.
I wish hed (Cruz) do the right thing and drop and endorse Trump.
Theres just no way hell be on top. Hes just not well liked and is not a good campaigner. I know that kills a lot of freepers to hear, but its the truth.
Cruz: Trump won't get nominationIt won't be long before Trump starts hammering this ding-dong with Corker.
What is conservative about a US Senator, a self-proclaimed constitutionalist, voting away his constitutional right of veto in favor of a anti-American and a terrorist nation and by extension against one of our strongest allies?
Some Cruz apologist answer that.
my answer probably not
he is the strong conservative side of the coin with Obama the strong liberal on the other.
The electorate including many conservative Republicans do not want what is considered more extremism
This thought is the result of my queries to solid conservative friends and acquaintances. It is the reason Cruz is stuck far down in the pack
This is not to denigrate him or his views. he is doing a fantastic job of representing Texas in the Senate
Trump will not attack Cruz
There is no need. Cruz is not a threat
