African-American Fox News staffers find it very difficult to work at the network, former president of the National Association of Black Journalists Bob Butler told TheWrap on Thursday.
Ive talked to some folks who work there and its very difficult, especially when you have all the hit pieces that are done on Obama, Butler said.
His comments come as Rupert Murdoch continues to face criticism over a controversial tweet on Wednesday that insinuated President Obama isnt a real black president. Murdoch apologized on Thursday.

They should try being white and going to a convenience store.
Now tell us ALL ABOUT NPR.
(who fired their only on air black—Juan Williams).
The ones he mentioned King Webb and Payne are not Obama lovers.
The fact that FoxNews has black staffers puts the lie to this claim.
‘folks’
I’ve come to hate that word...
In other words no fast track to the anticipated positions of power and authority due to ...
Wait for it...
Racism!
Could not possibly talent related, that has NO color boundary I have ever seen or experienced
The whole power behind the “Black agitation” is really singular and menacing
Riots to get what they want...
Maybe I just got familiar with the language but this sounds very much like the core definition of Terrorism, using the Threat of Violence to get an accommodation or reparation. They could even try and call themselves Freedom Fighters trying desperately for a reverse diaspora of all Black People back to Africa
Boy, I hit my head harder than I thought, that was some crazy stuff
Or was it...
Obama is half White and I don’t mind him being criticized at all.
I don’t get those vibes from Kevin Corke at all.
Wendell Golfer maybe.
Juan Williams definitely.
Hit pieces on Obama?? Guess that is the new way of saying truth about Obama.
total bullshit..
BS. Blacks have all the privileges today.
Gimme a break.
i smell MONEY. Something that always seems to fix the problem when gibsmedats are complaining about some self-perceived or fabricated harm caused by the white man.
Such in depth reporting. They never define what they mean by difficult, or even what this guy does there. Is he a writer, producer, editor?
If some person you meet says they find their job tough sometimes, wouldn’t your curiosity drive you to ask why? And because “I’m black” is not an answer.
Speaking of “very difficult” . . .
That is a real problem for many blacks (and increasingly, young whites): The idea of working for wages is equated with slavery.
Even worse for many blacks (and again, increasingly young whites) is that they are completely unprepared for work beyond simple skills. They come into a professional environment where whites are using long words they don’t understand, with no concept that employees are paid to provide value to/make money for a company. I’m surprised at how many black co-workers (even recent hires) think management is out to fire them, and they don’t believe anyone else would ever hire them afterwards (which may be true, as the flood of Asians has provided a more willing/eager pool of labor).
It really is grim; without education & discipline there is no hope for so many of them.
Why would “hit pieces on Obama” affect a black staffer in particular?
I know the answer is obvious... but it’s also REVEALING.
