A sign outside Tom's Barbershop that says "Black labs matter" and suggests supporting the MSPCA is getting a strong reaction in Norton, Massachusetts. But barber Tom Stevens says humor is his way of life.
"It's just a sign, it's a way to have fun, it's a way to reach out, it's a way to tell people I'm here," he said.

Some people say a black Lab is the best dog even if he is NOT standing next to a German Shepherd.

Two choc labs named Julie and Bobo did that to me years back.
One on either side.

You must mean German “Shepherd”. GSD people like to see it spelled correctly. I’m one.
However it’s spelled we miss our all black GSD that we had to put down a few years ago.
He was a all black GSD, smart to.
They are the best! My sympathy for your loss. I lost one a few years ago, one left now.
A black GSD ?
Police, security forces, the military use them, and for good reason, they make excellent security dogs.
They are very intelligent, and are alert, adaptable dogs.
They, the black GSDs have their very own unique personalities.
If you already have one you know exactly what I am saying.
They are easy to train, even though ours was just a family member, not a pet.
They will watch you and observe you while working on something like a car, or lawn mower, having a interest of what your doing.
Almost human like their personalities are.
