Its not hard to get your hands on illegal guns and rifles in America. It took me about two hours. I called a guy from the old neighborhood in LA, said something about a piece, and, hours later, I was staring at an AK-47 and an illegally modified AR-15, which were sitting on a kitchen table. Welcome to America.
Admittedly, he was surprised at my interest in being strapped since its been a good minute since I was about the life, but when I explained I was simply curious to see how long itd take for me to get a gat, he agreed to the idea. He had some handguns, too, he said, although I didnt see em. I took his word for it after seeing the AK-47 and AR-15, because those weapons leave an impression.
Some of the weapons were smuggled in, while others were bought on the up and up waiting period and all. Moving them is not his thing; he collects, and, on occasion, heads out to the desert with others to shoot. If I needed something, we could talk to another homie and with a few hundred dollars out of pocket, Id be set. I passed on the opportunity.
I didnt expect my search to be so successful especially since the black market usually requires some know-how, something I dont have much of these days, since, well, Ive done a complete 180, and I rarely spend anytime even associating with people running afoul of the law. But it was shockingly easy.
Looking at these highly dangerous weapons, I felt deeply disturbed despite being a veteran and having served in Iraq. Theres something about seeing these weapons here in the US and not in a combat zone; it makes it all too unsettling, as

In the article he confirms that he’s a former gang-banger with connections back in his old turf. He worked those connections to access the firearms.
Not surprising, and his acknowlegement that some of the weapons were illegally imported is a good case in our favor.
A Limey homo?
Yes, it reminds me of a woman I heard about who kept telling cops that drugs were being sold at a use down the street onle cops saying they had no proof.
She then decided to get that proof and bought some drugs from it and went to the cops with it.
She was charged and arrested for drug possession.
Same as this guy. He bought an illegal gun and therefore should be arrested and charged as such.
he was surprised at my interest in being strapped...getting a gat? I doubt he ever saw a firearm.
I’m surprised...........................that it took 2 hours.......................
Yes!!! Do it for the children!!
DON'T YOU LOVE CHILDREN?
< /leftist gobbledegook >
oops, is gobbledegook racist?
Must be an Ionian...................
He didn’t actuslly buy the weapons.
In fact, the friend who presented him with the weapons wasn’t willing to sell them, just show him them. The friend offered to put him in touch with a third party who he claimed could procure similar weapons, but the reporter declined.
The article is tripe. The writer portrays (analyzes) the scenario as being completely different than the one he actually says occurred.
Those are not necessarily illegal either. But they do require Federal Class 3 license.
Thunder Stick has a nice ring to it.................
Actually they occasionally are used. Case in point the schizoid Mexican who shot up the NG members in a Carson City NV IHOP. Fully select fire. Very good smithing job. Sold in California 5 years prior. They attributed the inability to trace it due to non regulation of PPT sales in NV but it was sold in Cali and any PPT without a FFL involved in Cali is illegal plus I will bet the weapon was never registered when Cali had its AW registered.
That being said it was a Norinco MAK 90 and I also believe what isn't being said is that the reason a trace is impossible is because the AK wasn't serialized.
Look up Operation Dragon Fire where the the PRC were running non serialized select fire AK’s and SKS into the U.S. Norinco and Polypro were the main conduit companies and who was their US representative at the time none other than Dick Blum the hubby of “turn im all in” DiFi of Senatorial fame.
Yes, it’s easy for criminals to get guns, even in gun free paradises. This article demonstrates that gun laws only stop law abiding people. So arrest this guy and keep him in jail till he gives up his gang banger, illegal arms dealer friends.
You just confessed publicly to buying illegal weapons?
Why aren’t you in jail?
You just said you want tougher gun laws - now turn yourself in to the cops with your confession and prepare for long jail time.
He just wants a piece of the action!
“Who, under the age of 50 says gat?”
70
He is just lucky on of those pieces didn’t take a dislike to him and spray him from the table.
50? More like 80.
From the article:
Admittedly, he was surprised at my interest in being strapped since its been a good minute since I was about the life, but when I explained I was simply curious to see how long itd take for me to get a gat, he agreed to the idea.
I'd say that is probably why you think it's a bogus article. :)
True to Hollywood both actors have fingers in trigger guard Nimoy even has the weight of the weapon ready to fire the gun if his hand slips just a bit.
