Drudge: “I had a Supreme Court Justice say to me it’s over for me."

Circulating on the web tonight:

During an appearance on the Alex Jones Show, Drudge asserted that copyright laws which prevent websites from even linking to news stories were being advanced.

“I had a Supreme Court Justice tell me it’s over for me,” said Drudge. “They’ve got the votes now to enforce copyright law, you’re out of there. They’re going to make it so you can’t even use headlines.”

“To have a Supreme Court Justice say to me it’s over, they’ve got the votes, which means time is limited,” he added, noting that a day was coming when simply operating an independent website could be outlawed.

“That will end (it) for me – fine – I’ve had a hell of a run,” said Drudge, adding that web users were being pushed into the cyber “ghettos” of Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.

“This is ghetto, this is corporate, they’re taking your energy and you’re getting nothing in return – nothing!”

“I assume this would put google and yahoo out of business too?”

I’m sure there will be an exclusion for the liberal websites.

There’s something I’m not getting- how is posting a link infringing on a copyright? The link actually serves to get the originating website more traffic, not take away from it. Without links all over - including search engines - most viewers wouldn’t find these protected articles to read. Are we then supposed to randomly come upon a news story- but never link to it when discussing it so others never read it either? Sounds ludicrous! (1984ish)

It was not a hard prediction.

We became the Soviet Union.

Personally, I plan to flee the country.

Alex Jones has always been on the fringe of things, the worrying part is that we as a country are moving closer to the fringe in the last 7 years....

When Rush Limbaugh and Alex Jones start sounding more and more like each other, WATCH OUT, things are about to “GO DOWN”...

.....TPP has language in it that permits agreement partners to ban Internet content that’s critical of government corruption.

TPP also has very strong copyright protection provisions as well.

Add to that the FCC’s self proclaimed oversight of the Internet, and it’s conceivable that distressed news outlets would call for restrictions on news content sharing that has hurt their bottom line.

They’re banning any talk of govt corruption? Seriously? Imagine that! Hello 1930’s....

Speaking of the FCC....Obola’s FCC guy was personally groomed by the media mogul trying to take out Trump...

Creator Of Fox Broadcasting Declares He Is Going To War Against Donald Trump…

...From Wiki:

Diller is responsible for what the media dubs “The Killer Dillers” – people whom Diller mentored and who later became big-time media executives in their own right. Examples include Michael Eisner (who was President & COO of Paramount Pictures while Diller was Chairman & CEO of Paramount Pictures, who went on to become Chairman & CEO of The Walt Disney Company), Dawn Steel (future head of Columbia Pictures and one of the first women to run a major movie studio, who worked under Diller at Paramount), Jeffrey Katzenberg (head of PDI/DreamWorks Animation, principal of DreamWorks SKG, former head of Walt Disney Studios, and a head of production of Paramount under Diller), Garth Ancier, President of BBC America, and Don Simpson, who was President of Production at Paramount under Diller and Eisner and later went on to run a production company based on the Disney lot with Jerry Bruckheimer.[14]

Diller worked with Stephen Chao at Fox Television, whom he later hired as President of Programming and Marketing at USA Network.

>>>>> Julius Genachowski, chairman of the Federal Communications Commission, served as Diller’s General Counsel during their tenure at USA Broadcasting, and again as Chief of Business Operations and a member of Barry Diller’s Office of the Chairman at IAC/InterActiveCorp. <<<<<

They’re all tied together and no doubt part of this orchestration.

The next President is the last firewall, with up to 4 SC vacancies coming. I won’t trust Trump on this, the only candidate I would trust to take back the Judiciary is Cruz.

That is a terrifying list. Orwell was just a few decades off, for this country anyway.

“determine news truth” - that one sent shivers down my spine. We see that in action in every newspaper and TV news station - the internet is the last source of accurate news reporting, and even then we have to intelligently filter by noticing bias.

Government criticism, belligerent toward government being suppressed - how did any decent representative vote for this? Shows the depth of corruption in politics today.

According to how much bribe money they paid and to whom. One thing for sure is that everything will be for sale to the highest bidder.

I managed to delete my account there, but don’t remember exactly how. I had to Google it, because I couldn’t find the information within Facebook.

I’m not disagreeing but have 2 concerns - Cruz voted for TPP, which we now know suppresses criticism of government. And you have to get elected first, and his poll numbers are mystifying low. It was obvious in the last debate that he was being shut out - he was given very few questions, was cut off before he could finish answering when he did get a question, and he was pointedly ignored when he tried to interject a comment, even after he was mentioned. it was exceedingly frustrating to watch!

I am sure we are on the Stasi's Target List as well.

When Obama thugs started using the term 'extremists' rather than 'radical muslims' it was handwriting on the wall. The idea of 'extremists' can be used for anyone who disagrees with the Establishment... Stalin could us the term - so could Obama - or Hitler. It just means, "anyone who disagrees with the people in power... even if those in power are thugs and criminals.". The term can be used by the Mullahs of Iran, the dictator of North Korea, or our own sell outs in congress... People think 'it can't happen here' but it can...

To paraphrase Churchill: If you won't fight when you can win. You may have to fight when there is no hope or chance of winning. Fighting only to get to die as a free person, not as a slave.

The first part is rapidly slipping past. The second part is on the horizon and rapidly heading this way. One more Democrat controlled Congress. One more Democrat President will get it here.

What role will the Republican Party Play in our struggle? In matters that concern us, the Republican Party is what the Vichy Government was to the French Resistance Fighters from 1940-44.

“I assume this would put google and yahoo out of business too?”

It could. Under this scenario it would be a license to link. Google would presumably be allowed to link.

Yet, this is very suspect. It would be like outlawing someone giving directions to a store that sells newspapers.

I think there is something wrong with Drudge.

For one, why would he go on Alex Jones?

Jones is a not credible, not a patriot, not a Christian.

I think Matt Drudge may have some personal problems at this time.
