Syria is Obama’s Watergate: When did he know about Vladimir Putin’s axis-of-evil coalition?
New York Post ^ | 10/04/2015 | Michael Goodwin

What did he know and when did he know it? The immortal question about Richard Nixon and Watergate should be posed to Barack Obama about Syria. What and when did he know about Vladimir Putin’s axis-of-evil coalition? The significance is not limited to Syria. The question goes to the heart of the Iran nuclear deal, especially the timing of the congressional votes.

Imagine Obama trying to sell the Iran deal now. With Russia, Iran and Iraq working together to muscle the United States aside and defend Bashar al-Assad, the president couldn’t possibly argue that the nuke deal would help stabilize the Middle East. Nor could he argue that Russia could be trusted to help enforce restrictions on Iran.

The strong likelihood that Obama would have lost the Iran vote if Congress knew then what the world knows now suggests the possibility the president concealed the Russian plan until the Iran deal was done. That view fits with his single-minded determination to get a deal at any price, including making key concessions and downplaying Iranian threats to Israel and the United States.

After all that, what’s another lie?

That view is also supported by the chronology, which reveals strong evidence the president hid the truth. For much of September, reports of Russia moving soldiers and military equipment into Syria invariably said the Pentagon was “puzzled” or the White House was “unclear” about Putin’s intent. Obama declared on Sept. 11 that whatever the dictator’s plan, it was “doomed to fail.” The claims of fuzziness about Syria allowed Obama to keep the focus on his push to sell the Iran pact to Congress.

He touted Russia’s support, vowed to impose “snapback” sanctions if Iran cheated and said he would work to stop the mullahs’ regional aggressions.

Ditto. There is no anything-gate for Mr Obama. I t can never be admitted that the first “black” president was a failure, for we must judge him by the color of his skin and not the content of his character.

God commands us to pray for those in authority. I wish I had His heart, for then it would be less of a duty.

So you`re implying that our actions in the area were and are positive?

Then we sure did a good job in Iraq, Libya, and now Syria!

And let`s not forget Egypt, oh that`s right! Those evil Egyptians screwed up our wonderful alliance with that peace loving Moose-limb Brotherhood, damned shame there, right ETL?

All in all, good reason to fear and distrust those 'rooskies' and trust the US of A in that region. You betcha!

Someone needs to pay for Putin's incursion into Syria. Russia can’t. That would be Iran, by way of lifted sanctions of over 100 billion dollars complements of Odunga. Yep, this smells bad, but these days there are no Reporters curious about the truth. Why is there even a Pulitzer anymore?

For reporters that cover the left-wing democrats' butts better than anyone else?

Pro-Hezbollah Paper: Russia, Iran, Syria, Hezbollah Form Alliance

Sept 23, 2015

A prominent pro-Hezbollah newspaper in Lebanon reported Tuesday that Russia and the terrorist organization have formed an alliance and will fight together in Syria. “The parties to the alliance are the states of Russia, Iran, Syria, and Iraq, with Lebanon’s Hezbollah as the fifth party,”

Al-Akhbar Editor in Chief Ibrahim al-Amin wrote. The pact would be called the “4+1 alliance”—a pun based on the P5+1 that negotiated the nuclear deal with Iran. Hezbollah is a proxy of Iran based in Lebanon and Moscow has been working with Tehran to save Bashar al-Assad’s regime, even sending men and weapons to Syria.

Russian build-up in Syria part of secret deal with Iran’s Quds Force leader

September 11, 2015
Jennifer Griffin, Lucas Tomlinson
FoxNews.com

As the Pentagon warily eyes a Russian military build-up in Syria, Western intelligence sources tell Fox News that the escalated Russian presence began just days after a secret Moscow meeting in late July between Iran’s Quds Force commander — their chief exporter of terror — and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Fox News has learned Quds head Qassem Soleimani and Putin discussed such a joint military plan for Syria at that meeting, an encounter first reported by Fox News in early August. ...”

The Quds Force is the international arm of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard, involved in exporting terrorism to Iran’s proxies throughout the Middle East including Lebanon, Syria, Iraq and Yemen. ...”

Officials who have monitored the build-up say they’ve seen more than 1,000 Russian combatants — some of them from the same plainclothes Special Forces units who were sent to Crimea and Ukraine. Some of these Russian troops are logistical specialists and needed for security at the expanding Russian bases.

Who the F trusts Obama? Where did I say or imply that? I said that Obama was likely in on the scheme for Russia to move in and take over the Middle East.

Will obama really let the election take place just to have his legacy wiped clean?

There's nothing he could do to prevent it.

There are people here that are that much into defending ISIS? Putin did what Obozo should have done long ago, kill them!

And there are people here who think Putin is interested in ISIS. All of the rebels who are fighting Assad are not ISIS. Putin will take them out long before he goes (and if) after ISIS. Russia is only interested in propping Assad and keeping a warm water port. I dislike Obama, but that is no reason to assign love to Putin.

Russia moving in under the pretense of ridding the region of ISIS is like the Mafia moving to your neighborhood under the pretense of removing a violent street gang, then setting up a permanent base there to do Mob “business”

When I lived in Brooklyn in the 1970s, I lived a quarter mile away from Carlo Gambino, and I'm damn glad I did.

KGB Putin claims to have played a major role in the (wipe Israel off the map) Iran deal.

Yeah, they do tend to keep the neighbor safe, but, c'mon, you know what I'm talking about...

BTW: I live right now about a mile from where he and a bunch of other infamous mafia leaders are buried: St John Cemetery in Middle Village, Queens. Also there is Lucky Luciano, Vito Genovese, John Gotti, Carmine Galente, and quite a few others. My brother currently lives about 10 blocks from his Ocean Pkwy home.

The dolt who coined “Axis of Evil” is the same dolt that coined “Religion of Peace” with reference to Islam.

If there were an axis of evil it would run from Washington D.C. to Brussels to Riyadh.

Well I never said I love Putin, but I like what he`s doing to ISIS. And while I don`t love Assad, he`s a secularist tyrant and that`s a damn sight better than any of the moose-limb ‘religion of peace-nics’ we`ve seen to date. Moderate muslims, please! Ain`t no such animals!

We said the same thing about Stalin. We have to pick not just the best of the worst going forward. I might be naïve, but we had Iraq and probably Afghanistan won. From there we could have pushed for greater things. Now we turn it over to Russia to determine the future of the ME?
