When I lived in Brooklyn in the 1970s, I lived a quarter mile away from Carlo Gambino, and I'm damn glad I did.
Yeah, they do tend to keep the neighbor safe, but, c'mon, you know what I'm talking about...
BTW: I live right now about a mile from where he and a bunch of other infamous mafia leaders are buried: St John Cemetery in Middle Village, Queens. Also there is Lucky Luciano, Vito Genovese, John Gotti, Carmine Galente, and quite a few others. My brother currently lives about 10 blocks from his Ocean Pkwy home.
